Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I got everything done today , even bought a couple of cheap bras  and the worst ever custard / vanilla slice ever, the custard was pale and it was between wafer type stuff that crumbled when touched. Anyway I am off to the shower ready for the next city run in the morning then just 2 more to go, might just hit the sack very very soon it is tiring getting up at 6am. How can we improve our soil for holding water better? have used soil wetter as in, clay breaker, cow and chook poo, the expensive mulch dirt from the garden place, but it doesn't seem to help and have to keep watering every couple of days. This time we are going to do the same stuff but also with 6 bales of straw and some blood and bone for good measure. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Native Pepper and puppies x :D

Dot, I reckon you could add a few newspapers under the straw. Grab heaps of the free ones, rip into strips and don't spread them out too thickly. They use it on those no dig gardens at the bottoms, but then that will smother all of your plants too, if you do a thick layer. The garden would be damp and dead! Hope you get the final visit to hosp done and dusted soon mate xxxx

Today was so exciting. The next doors tree branch that has swung over our fence since before Christmas was cut down. The guy who came to cut it was true to form. He came with thongs on his feet, shorts and a tshirt. He had no gloves, eye protection, hard hat or safety chains when he climbed up the tree. Just a bloody big chainsaw. I stayed upstairs watching from the windows. I had no intention of going down there. I honestly thought if he came to remove my tree like that, he would have been sent home for some protective gear. No, the homeowner was ferretting underneath where he was chopping . She was collecting the debris as he chainsawed above her head. She has an engineering degree, but that gave her no common sense that's for sure. She had it all loaded onto her trailer and taken to the tip almost as soon as the destructo man left. I would love her energy, but then she is 20 years younger than us.

The chiro was really worth the visit.

Sad news tonight is that Catch of the day is closing in April. I have bought a lot of things from them, including the luggage that has just been delivered. I had chosen luggage from the Ozsale site, but at the checkout, they demanded $350 for postage/couriers. That was as much as I had paid for the cases. Anyways, same cases from Catch were cheaper and the postage was free because I am a member.

Our daughter demanded to see a photo of our luggage, because she didn't believe that we both chose purple. She was very shocked to see that yes they are a really pretty, purple. We won't lose our luggage in a hurry.

Thanks Dot, I have just added woodside for chocolates to my research pile. This is starting to feel like more excitement than I expected. Safe travels back for the x-ray mob mate xxx

Today, we woke to warnings for high winds and storms, so decided to stay home and stay inside out of harms way. Well the winds and storms were fairly moderate, but the heat and humidity certainly made up for it. I watched the lopped tree with interest and most of the branches that are left standing, seemed to be ok. I think the removal of the main centre branch , has left a bit of a place for the wind to come through, so it might not push the tree over as soon as we have expected.

Not a lot ticked off the list today, but we had a quiet day instead.

night all xxx

The last time we were in the Haigs shop (not sure if it needs an apostrophe) we were time poor.
Dave,
I searched the company’s website. They use the apostrophe in their registered name, “Haig’s Chocolate”, so the answer is yes, it’s needed.
Should be written “… were in the Haig’s shop…”

Well we've had a very interesting sort of day. I was up at 4.30 am, had breakfast then picked up the 16yo grandson for a half day on a ocean fishing charter. We knew before setting off that it was a bit windy and that a storm was forecast for the afternoon.
We were soon out over the fishing grounds and it seemed kinda nice. A few decent fish were caught, then a shark turned up.
Not long after that the skipper thought it prudent to head a bit more south. We weren't there long before it was obvious that the afternoon storm had turned up early.
Soon, it was flat rain and big waves. Everyone on the boat got thoroughly soaked. We made it back inside the seaway eventually, very cold, very wet and unbelievably the stomach contents were still on the inside.
This arvo finished up an absolute scorcher.
Next time we'll catch more fish.
Cheers

Deborah the museum is just a few steps up from the Botanic gardens if you are that way enclined. Don't forget the Jam factory, you get to see the people blowing their glass and oh boy do they do some stunning at works. The zoo is also not far from the B Gardens and museum, you get to see the new Pandas. Then there is Monarto open range zoo up the freeway before you get to Murray Bridge. They also have a bus that takes you around. Then there is the Popeye boats on the Torrens river, also not far from the Zoo /museum. Have got one more sparrow fart start tomorrow, then straight up to Birdwood for GP catch up and just thought of the Birdwood car museum to see there. Watched the BOB's and Jayco boys are doing pretty good. I put 6 bales of mulch down today = knackered. George told me that he may not go to NZ as his leg is really painful and he has trouble sitting for any time. Result of the nasty car crash some yrs ago and not treated. !! Something is trying to dig up the 2 cockies G buried so added mesh wire topped with roof tiles and held down with bricks.. They must of been zapped on the power lines. Off to bed now, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Wimmera jack x :D Stay safe you lot

Dot, you should be a tour guide, so much information. Happy last visit to the big smoke mate....This is our third trip to Adelaide and we have seen most of the sights, especially spent hours at the glass place just watching. I don't know how much time we are going to spend in the gardens, but I do have three events at the gardens booked and paid for. xxxx

All you Adelaide peoples, I will be needing to get some groceries delivered to our villa on the Sunday, when we arrive....it's a self catering place. Which does the best home delivery, Coles or WW?

Today we drove across country to find a new office chair. Officeworks had the one that I think suits me the best but it is in orange fabric. The picture on the shelf says it also comes in light grey. Lovely young man helped me to say the warehouse had plenty so he could order one in and have it by next Wednesday or we could go to Warners Bay and buy one of the four that they have in stock. Looks like a trip around the lake tomorrow to see if Warners Bay really does have them...I only need one so I think the odds are pretty good.
