Oh Ray, I think my wardrobe is going to be chockers by the time these sales finish, but the stuff won't be around to buy after that date and clothes that are classy never go out of date.
Eddy, I get emails daily from the whole group of Noni B things, so I shop straight from the emails. If your lovely lady has done some shopping with them, she will be bombarded with a daily email until they close their doors. I don't always click on them to shop because I can't do that too often and I have actually used up my allowance for this month already! That won't stop me from looking at some of their things as the closure becomes closer. I can be tempted just like anyone else. My warning is to only use paypal for online shopping. If they only take card, I am very hesitant to shop with them.
Today was a tiring day. We went to bunnings to buy a lock box to "hide" a house key in. The lift people insist that there is one close to the door downstairs, in case of lift sticking and they can't get into the house with out it. They are coming on Tuesday to give the lift the first service, which is good because it is making some small noise as it goes up noise . Probably because it's not getting a lot of use and we have been away, so it has been ignored for a while.
We were also on the hunt for a small plastic stool for the bathroom. Time for a new one. The hammer shop had nothing, but a lady at a desk looked it up on her phone and showed me that kmart had plenty and in two different styles. After searching through kmart, they certainly did not have any in stock. We hunted through two junk shops and then gave up. This was the first expedition that I deliberately left the walking stick at home and all went well, except that I was very tired after all the walking. I did have a nanna nap for a long time this afternoon.

Dot, still offline and out there making mischief? NZ Mischief is is stronger than Aus mischief? We will never know. xxxx
So much for writing up all the events on our calendars. I am having cataract surgery next week, so rang the surgery to check about the pre-op drops. Oops, it's on Monday not Tuesday, as I expected. So slight change of plans.
We were packing some things into the van for a late departure tomorrow. We're off to Belmont (45 minutes away) with our jayco mob. The place makes no difference, we will have some good laughs and hugs. But, instead of coming home on Monday, we will stay for lunch and go home early afternoon on Sunday. Not really a great problem, but good thing to have learnt about it today or we would have still been in the van on Monday with the mob and get the horspital call. All under control now.
The lift tech was a lovely man who explained some new features. He was impressed by my addition of some thick cork that stops the door and gate from rubbing when opening them together. If the lift sticks anywhere, it is best to stop and go down about a foot and then it will right itself. Another interesting fact to keep in storage. It was also interesting to have a man in his forties, using the old measures. The lift company is British, so everything is in feet. Love it, I understood what he was saying too.
Did some interesting research on Lockyer valley fruit and veggy coop, they sound like they are getting closer to having their cannery built. I put us on their newsletter list and will be watching how they go. It would be so great to see a cannery back on home soil, so will buy their stuff once they get operational....in the next decade, maybe. Edgell and Golden Circle are two of the canneries that have done some disappearing. I still read the labels every time that I buy Edgells corn because some times they use imported product. Allegedly when there is a short supply, ...who really knows?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, Don't be confused about Golden Circle, the great Aussie brand that once was. It is owned by the Chinese. The same as all the major egg producers on the east coast. Both Pace Farms and Kinross farms are owned by ROC Investments. Only found that out last week.
Dot has been very quiet, I haven't heard a peep from her since she got to Sue's place.
My wife had a cataract done about 15 years ago. It changed her life. She had grown up being told she was blind in one eye.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks David, I am starting to sound like a real spy into ownership of companies that we expect to have stayed in our national hands. I feel that our governments have sold us out on this. They could have denied said companies to have been sold to other countries. I am on a f**kbook page for buying Australian products that are made here and owned by Aussie companies. It has been an enlightenment that's for sure.
Dot, where are you? xxxx
Belmont is all that we expected. Close to home and full of good mates

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, I have read that there is group, co-op maybe of pineapple growers from the Sunshine Coast that are trying to get a cannery organised for their produce. I believe they are going to give Golden Circle the flick.
Perhaps they will be able to utilise the one you mentioned.
I hope so, time will tell.
Dot's still on the MIA list.
Goodnight Dot.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I go in Monday to have the left eye fitted with reading lense, then I should only need glasses for driving, polarised for day time and dark yellow tint for night time ..... filters the blinding headlights out but gives a lot of extra vision for the road side verge in the dark, so you can see the animals and determine if they are going to turn tail and run .... or try their luck getting across the road before you get there ...... then you can give a few blasts on the horn and the critter thinks twice and the navigator near jumps out of her skin because she was just dozing off

I want one of Barb Barb horns, like the train horn Jon has on his bus. The horn on our Winny is like a meep, like those tiny Japanese cars.
Terry, has your Winny got the big alloy Bullbar ?

We had a litter wallaby thing jump out in front of the bus in tassy.
Hit the horn as he hopped across. You could see hop shift from a lazy hop to an "oh shite, better get out of here" hop.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Terry, when I recently had cataract replacement they were adjusted so that my distance sight is perfect but I need glasses for reading. Just a pain in the ? when I get up from the computer and wander off with my reading glasses still on my head. However, it means that I retain my Medium Rigid licence without needing glasses to drive.
