Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, is the back still an issue mate? xxxx

Bernie, you got me there then. The best spray that I use is garlic and chilli, so no more thoughts. Unless you plant a heap of profuse yellow and white flowers away from the greenhouse area to draw the moths away from your veggie plants. We have had such a crap time with fruit fly, that we don't even bother to try to grow tomatoes any more. We get plenty of the tiny tomatoes self seeded all through our gardens and they at least have a great flavour and fruit fly aren't into them, go figure.

Weird things happen around here. The kiln man sent me a message with a time for tomorrow, so that might be one thing that's finally getting done.
Catch sent me an email to say that the dressing gown would be a total refund and the money is back in my account already. No mention of returning the pink one, that I will not be wearing any time soon. If they don't send me details of how to return it, my sister will love it.

While waiting around to hear from the kiln man, I managed to complete all the forms for health fund expenses to be paid, going back as far as July 2023. Not many in 2023, but I still hope they do the refunds on those months. We get some refunds for our expensive drugs. I don't know how we could afford to get addictive to illegal stuff. The legal stuff adds up enough.

I'm back, god knows how as I kept pressing this and that and ozervnews came into view. My back and legs have recovered enough now for me to do a few things, when will we ever listen to our aging bodies? Had a nice talk with HTFFBO today, she is fine and Paul is still awaiting the call up for his ticker issue to be sorted.I have been very slack since we got back from NZ that I haven't even spoken to any of my friends since we got home. Mr G had his 77th birthday on the 27th March and he has promised NOT to go climbing on the house or bus roof BUT guess who I found of top of the bus?? I think the neighborhood heard the result f his broken promise. We were hoping to head nth around June but will the roads be open (up the middle then to Qld) Deborah the Jayco BOB's have nice purple outfits and they are giving a good performance, must be the color  Brian is not looking forward to his trip away with Rosy dog at all, it means his food has to be put high up and he says Rosy is a sook when it comes to traveling and she whinges. A trip to the vet might be in order for some "calm down pills" Off for a shower now so Goodnight one and all x :D Goodnight Shirley x :D

Welcome back Dot. The quiet has been earsplitting. ;) ;) ;) ..... ok we really missed you too xxxx

Eddy, you heard that right, Catch will be no longer after 30th April, if their posts can be trusted. I am watching over there for bargains too.

I have been very slowly going out of my mind, waiting for the kilnman to come a fix my kiln. I know it needs the relays to be replaced, but I don't have a clue where to try to find them or how to replace them. I understand that a proper electrician is needed. Anyway, he was definitely coming Friday, until I received a weird text saying he wasn't coming. I asked him to be more precise and have not heard from him since. I will be contacting my usual kiln company on Monday and start the flamin waiting process all over again. It seems that to be a kiln repairer, one must have no communications skills and never be on time for any appointments. Time will tell, but I am getting pretty fed up waiting for this kiln to be useable again.

We are back in the midst of a water event. I have been told that we have had 2 inches of rain since last Thursday, when he last checked the gauge. The weatherman says to expect more of the same for the next week. Will try to send it all down to Mannum, after Anzac day. Thankfully, the jetty repairs were all finished last Wednesday, so no days off due to rain. The jetty still looks pretty raw. Until it gets weathered a bit, it will stay almost red. The high tides over Easter will help to make it silver up pretty fast, I suspect.

Good night Dot.

Still waiting to have my acrylic bricks replaced with new glass bricks, the work can’t been done in the rain, rain, rain go away.

Haven’t bowled for about 6 weeks, still feeling really tired & not sleeping doesn’t help, might get back next week.

Good night all, sleep well 💤💤💤👌

Deb,
Could you parcel up some of your ‘water event’ and post it to Rutherglen?
We’ve been in an unofficial drought for the past five months.
The gummint is too broke to declare it an official drought, coz that means they have to pay out drought assistance to farmers, and actually DO SOMETHING for rural communities to improve water supply.
All the $$$ are being swallowed by the Melbourne Metro Rail tunnels — which nobody wants except the contractors building it. 🙄

BTW, g’nite all. And welcome back Dottie. 😊
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Ray, I'd love to 'parcel up' some of our excess water and float it down your way. But, I think the Feds have sold it all already.
You'll get no sense out of an of them now until at least after the election. And then they'll just play the blame game, as they always do.
Just so everyone that lives on the east side of the great dividing range knows, there has been a total lack of good rain in Vic and NSW for far too long now.
Can't say for SA though, haven't been over there for a while now.
Cheers

Hope you can find the right buttons to push again Dot. Will you be able to get calm downs for Rosey? xxxx

Shirley, sounds like you are really fighting to get back to normal. Hope that happens soon. xxx

David and Ray, yes we have had our share times six of our annual average of rain, so if there was any way possible that we could share it around, well we would happily send it South and West. We have had enough for the next few years.

We sleep with our patio door wide open in warm weather, to keep the house fresh, but at 3am, it was a bit too fresh. The wind came from nowhere and just about blew the house away. I got up and closed all the doors but forgot to take a telfast. Of course, this morning, I woke with a migraine and the wind was a lot calmer. We almost had an autumnal day, a bit of everything until tonight when the black clouds were above us and it rained yet again. Tomorrow is just meant to be windy, yucko.

I did a bit of office cleaning/filing so maybe there is a tidy square inch of my deskspace now. That was enough for the day.

night all xxx

had another 3/4 day in bed, wish I could send you some Shirley. It makes me feel so bloody useless and there is so much I want to do but getting the energy up is just not there. Is your mattress still good? maybe a session with a hypnotherapist may help you? Sounds like Deborah has all the energy. Well the BOB's is about to finish and not my boy as he isn't in this race. Would you believe Dad's Army is on so I may stay to have a laugh, gee this brings back memories suppose they will find something to ban it. Nup my eyes are failing to keep open so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D
