Dot, your pic says it all. No you are not being picky. No tradesman or otherwise is invited to use our bathrooms. If they ask, I offer them the use of the guest bathroom downstairs (in the laundry) and that's all that they get. As for the parents wandering through your home, no way would I tolerate that. Our caravan man used to bring his old dog with him. He would never let the dog out of his truck without checking that it was ok to let her wander. She has passed now, but I expect that when we see him soon, he will have another muttly. It just seems sad when he comes now without the extra paws.xxxx
Today was a mix up sort of day. I have been having email passing to and fro, the Chinese man who sold me a tiny dressing gown. I have asked for a refund and he keeps trying to demand my height and weight. He has sent me his biggest size, so it doesn't make any difference to him as he can't have any other stock that would fit. Finally, I have become fed up with him and his crap, so I have asked for a full refund through paypal and told them that it's not going to be returned due to the cost of postage. The seller has also stated that he will not cover the cost of returns.
Next was the extra bananas that were waiting here for us when we returned yesterday. Banana cakes have now been made. That's the second time for cake baking this year, already. That's really rare for me to cook cakes that often. It certainly tastes pretty yummo. Many pieces will get frozen for treats .
Our daughter and family are coming for lunch tomorrow. I thought a cooked chooken would be good. I gave the bird my usual hour in the oven being steamed on full heat and then another hour, uncovered, on mod heat to crisp up. This is the toughest bird, with the strongest flavour that I have had in a long time. I think it may even have been one of Mr Steggles turkeys or at the very least a rooster. I will probably put it on to steam in the slow cooker in the hope of tenderising it a bit.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks for your input re the "lady and the loo" I will be speaking to the boss. I said to the son if his mum needed to go to the loo I would show her where to go and that would be the family one not our en suite, there could have been something
else in there. Yes very rude. Another humid day and nothing done outside or inside for that matter
George will fix the holes etc but I shall be letting the boss that they should think of the clients situation and how they will get things fixed. AJ and G have their garage sale just about all set up, I think AJ has put too much on her items and clothing but she will find out when nothing sells. If not too hot over the next few days I might get into the bus and get into G's ear about heading off for a few days after Easter. Have to put some price tags on to more of J A stuff so will goodnight to everyone x
Goodnight RnB x
Thanks for the no cleaning up info

Dottie,
I agree with other posters on having strangers wandering through your house — even if they are relatives of your tradie! NOT ON!!
We have a long & good relationship with our garden helper, but he NEVER asks to use our loo. Always makes sure to drop in at the public one in the park 50m away before arriving to work for us.
I know — I asked him once when marvelling at his continence during a 2hr stint in hot weather when he regularly paused for a drink (water only).

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, will be interested to hear what the bossman had to say about family using your bathroom. Hope the heatwave isn't too hard to take xxxx
Our daughter and family came very early for a long lunch and it was a lovely time. Prior to their arrival, nis nibs started "helping" by using the new-ish vacuum in the loungeroom. He became quite cranky about how poorly it doesn't do the job. I bought it last December and have nee peed orf with it since. It's one of the sharks that is advertised a fair bit. It empties itself when put into the dock and allegedly will clean both forwards and backwards. I would just be happy if the damned thing cleaned. I have had a much cheaper shark stick cleaner for a few years and it's fabulous. To the point where I use it on the spots that the newer one has not done much at all.
Seeing as his nibs has now found out how crappy it is, I felt that I wouldn't have to listen to him complaining about me never being happy when I send that thing back. I sent off a great email to the shark people telling them what we have experienced and my parting words were "This vacuum sux but it does not suck" Will be interested to see if I get an honest reply and offer to repair/replace as is our consumers rights.
The big rest day is tomorrow and then back to work on Good Friday setting up the stall in Wallsend RSL. I am not sure how Easter will affect the sales, but we have to at least give it a try.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Not too much done today either, Helped G with some lifting stuff and did a bit of tidying up out the back but nothing exciting. G took a little bunch of flowers up the lady that is on her way to the upstairs soon, she was his neighbor (years ago) He said she Had a few tears so that means she knows whats coming or she was so pleased that someone had thought of her. Nothing worthy of watching so it is another night of a long hot soak in the bath.I have 3 vacuums, 1 dyson, and a stick one in the house and another stick one in the bus, I use none of them but G reckons the stick one is best. I do not like any of them
Suppose the nutters will be on the roads for the next 5 days or so.
My NZ M8 said it has been persisting down rain for a few days now and she is cranky because she can't get into the garden. Good luck for your Weekend sales Deborah and a pic of your latest artwork would be ever so nice. Thank goodness the BOB's will be back on again this weekend. I have given up on the V8's now. Has anyone been able to see how Van Gizzy has been going in the good old US of A? Off now hope everyone is doing ok and take care on the roads. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Jd and Phoenix x

"tanks" here---
It is only 12 degrees at 10:30 a.m. in the western Wheatbelt. It's almost like winter again.
DOT: Cheer up. The Bombers are playing the Eagles today, so this is a win for Essendon coming up.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
After church today we got out into the garden for some restoration/resuscitation work.
Wielded the mattock so SWMBO could replant a zillion irises (iri ??) which were dug up earlier in the summer.
Then coupled up two sprinkler hoses to water-in half the 50m of irises our garden help man planted along the driveway last week. He completed in an hour that which would have taken SWMBO & me all day!! Worth his wages!
The two sprinkler hoses combined only came to 25m, so tomorrow I have to add an extension to the supply hose to water the other half of the driveway irises. Can’t add another sprinkler hose, cos we barely have the water pressure to reach the end of what we’ve got!
What sprays at the beginning dribbles at the end.
Ah well, at least they’re getting damp.
Been so dry that we’ve lost at least five roses this past summer. Under normal circumstances, yer can’t kill roses. This summer was something else… killer temperatures lasting well past sunset. I’m surprised we didn’t lose more roses.
So we’re having a relatively early night so we can be up at sparrow-fart and into the irises again before it gets too hot — again.
Goodnight everyone. Good night Dottie, G & Brian.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We haven't lost many plants this year, only 2 so that is good. George and AJ had their garage sale today, AJ doesn't understand even if you paid big $$ for your clothes then you cant get much for them in a garage sale. As us op shoppers know you get stuff with good brand names for good prices (if the op shop isn't a charity that is) they are greedy and also charge higher prices than new stuff from eg K mart. I stayed well away and did my own thing like washing and sitting out the back with Brian
The lawn is recovering from us cutting most of the wisteria away from covering the grass. That will make our garden man happy. Ray we connect our washing machine hose into a long soaker hose to water a lot of the shrubs might be something to look into. Even use the washing machine water to water the lemon tree until we get men travelers, that is their job. Where is Chuck and Norman when you need them?Hey Nigel when is our rain coming?. Shirley when do you start bowls again?Going to get onto the council next week to look into the mad cat /dog lady over the back, she has one of those "organic" septic tank that waters the garden BUT she doesn't have it serviced (as she should) and at night we get the shitty smell about every few weeks or so.Septic stuff just let lose on the ground could be a health hazard I think ????? David????? Off to bed soon so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Jd x
