Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hope that you get some good info from all the time with the onc peoples Dot. Wonder what the right dose of magnesium is recommended. We both take fairly strong magnesium for our night time cramps. There seems to be so many people telling us what their version of the "right dose" and who do you really trust? xxxx

While in South West Rocks, we had no internet connections at all. It was almost good to be able to ignore the emails etc for a couple of days. We did survive that stress!
The visit with my sister was good. We were able to surprise her yesterday afternoon at our niece's place. It was good to have some big laughs before we had to go out to restaurant with all of her family. The grandkids were a bit much for us (screaming toddlers, no thanks), but it was a lovely meal in the local Chinese, so now my baby sister has turned 70, it's all down hill from now on.

On our way home today, we planned to stop at our fav pub in Bulladelah for lunch. That was an experience. The restaurant has changed hands and most of the menu was for Chinese foods. Normally that would be good, but not after pigging out on Chinese foods, last night. We were ready to order and saw a Chinese cook, hurl a pizza into the bin. He strode out to a table and told them the pizza oven is broken and they needed to order something else. All the while ignoring us waiting to order. We left after ten minutes of just waiting, seemed a waste of time to us. We found a lovely little cafe across the road, in a very old house. Just the old tin walls were extra fascinating and lunch was delicious. Don't think that we will return to the pub any more.

I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight, so night all xxx

Deborah, I've wondered what that little cafe in the old house is like. It's never been open when we've called by. Most times we pass by it's early in the day. Was the pub the one up near the main road, that has recently reopened after a major renovation?

Hey Dot, how's ya doing? xxxx

David the pub didn't seem to be anything changed or cleaner, but it's the pub that is almost opposite the little old cottage, at the highway end of town. There was a much bigger cafe next door to the cottage and they seemed to do a roaring trade in the usual deep fried sh*t, pies n hamburgers.

Today we spent a fair bit of time working out the best place for the new dryer, that was delivered on Friday. It replaced one that we think was about 40 years old, so it has done us well. I was worried about having to make a hole in our brickwalls to vent the dryer, but after some research we could turn the venting to face the front of the dryer with no wall holes needed. So we placed the dryer back on the benchtop where the old one had sat. It faces the window and when drying, we open the window. No stress about holes in the house, that was soo easy.

I conquered the rotten job of cleaning out the stove rangehood this afternoon. Boy, that's a crappy job. That might be why it gets left until way overdue. It's a good job for a cold (but sunny) afternoon. Hands in very hot soapy water for a while wasn't so bad after all.

I cooked up a big pot of slow cooked pumpkin soup and it was yummo. I usually use a large leek, but had to use the onion that was here instead. The real difference is that the onion was faster to burn than the leek usually does. It all added to the flavour. Once served , a dollop of chilli philly on top and deliciousness all round. Enough for tomorrow night and another serve for the freezer. Slowly getting some different caravan meals in the freezer for when the van returns.

nighty night xxx

David n Terrie, good to see you are home safe and sound. Your adventures sounded great where to next? Re the old bat testing my brakes last week I couldn't pull over and she couldn't have overtaken me as too much traffic oncoming and I was on the speed limit of 50kph. I have been sleeping in the bus with Brian since Thurs night and the painters arrival for 1st coat, this time doing the office, sun room, kitchen, dining room, entry, & linen cupboard. G stayed in our bedroom to let the painters in at 7am Sat morning  Deborah I will ask the right amount of magnesium that should be taken. It made me me really think about "over the counter" meds. The Dr said even Vit C should be taken with caution, I was told by one of the many gas men I have had lately it can be useful for certain conditions but not all. Another thing the Dr told me to try for pain was called-----. It is a "Nervoderm patch" , (5% Lignocaine) put it on for the recommended time ONLY (12 hrs) It comes in one large patch and you can cut it to fit the pain area, You can use it again if you put it back onto the original backing, it won't be as strong as the first use but that's ok.It is not on the PBS and costs about $33. I used a piece about 2'' x 1'' on the top of my R) foot. Yes it worked a bit but it may lake a few times to get it going. It is used for Post Shingles Nerve Pain ie Shooting, stabbing and Burning) G is having his bone density test, then the CT then the Ultrasound tomorrow one after the other, still trying to fix his leg pain. Oh yeah the Oncologist was not happy with the lady dentist that made me go to the Mt Barker Dental clinic to her especially taught dentist in cancer dental care putting me down for an appointment every 12mths, so he is going to get in touch with Ken? boss of that section ha ha that will put a dent into her armor. The last few days have been lovely for outside work. I did my burn off of leaves and off cuts of shrubs, put extra hay on the garden and today we mainly me pruned the fruit trees and next is to lay the hay around them. I think the trees may be getting too old as the trunks are splitting etc, might try dwarf trees next time.Brian is back on his Herpes meds for his sneezing again. Bernie you and Carol seem to be a great team with those alterations, looking good. Hope your son is now getting the treatment for those nasty clots. Very cold again tonight and we had a bit of rain tonight, diesel heater is doing a nice job and the electric blanket is wonderful esp cuddled up with my pussy. OK time to say Goodnight to everyone x Goodnight David x :D Welcome home xx

Goodnight Dot. It seems I'm still adjusting my body clock to AEST, not GMT. My GP had me on magnesium supplements a few years ago. Finding the correct dose for yourself can be a bit hit and miss at times. And it will change depending on your day to day diet.
We are planning on going to Italy in late October as our next and probably last overseas adventure. But that may have to change, depending on how the world reacts to the latest bombing in Iran.
Cheers

They said there would be severe weather warning and they were not wrong, the morning was lovely and sunny with a light breeze. I did 2 loads of washing, then got the ladder out and with the trusty electric clippers I attacked an apple tree then a few other snips from overhanging shrubs. Just as I was finishing up the apple tree Gman arrived home and I got told off  Then the sky went dark and the wind blew and blew and then the rain started. The bus did a bit of a moving but not like it used to when we were younger   Remember I told you that G had to wait until Sept to see the special man to do his nerve conduction test? well he now has an appointment next Tuesday at 0700hrs I might add I will not be going with him, my bladder definitely will not be awake. I am off for the usual dyke haircut tomorrow and I might have to visit the green shed. Looks like we are in for a windy cold and wet week or so. Keep warm and safe . Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Wimmera Jack x :D

Hey Dot, you get that hair cut often. I did mine yesterday and probably won't do it again for at least two weeks! My hair grows too fast for me to bother paying someone to keep it almost tidy. Hope you recover from all the time that you spent up the ladder today. Trees will be happy for the work to have been done. xxxx

I thought that I posted here last night, but it has gone to the ether.
The lair has not been too busy, no caravan to play with and not really in the mood to go down to my shed. Way too much to get done in the house.
Yesterday, I spent all afternoon shredding all the correspondences from the dept of ed. That was two careers all but forgotten now. There was paperwork for his 40years and my 23 years and it's gone now. No proof that we ever were smart people.

Today, the task was mainly the administrivia in getting my rav 4 paperwork sorted to have it registered. A few other calls to insurance people and other stuff. I reckon, I would like to get back some of the hours that I seemed to be on hold for today. They really do take the piss and obviously don't have enough people to answer the flamin phones.

I then went on to get a start on the photos from our SA trip. I started off simple. I had vouchers to make two separate canvas prints. That took up most of the afternoon. I only had to choose 2 photos from roughly 700 photos. As we saw the same things on 4 different visits and each visit was in different light, I was going from one end of the camera roll to the next and it was really a PITA. Finally have selected 2 photos and sent them off for printing. The next task is a 100 page book. That will take a lot more time to get it sorted. I am not too sure how I will get that project into some kind of order. Obviously a job for another couple of days.

night all from sunny East Coast xxx

Oh boy did we have a rough night, for once the BOM were spot on with their forecast of bad weather. The bus rocked a bit and the rain pelted down on the roof which was nice, our back yard has water about 4'' deep and they say more of the same to come. I cancelled the hair cut today as the weather was too bad to be driving in. Well this morning G's GP rang with yesterdays scans results. 1/ Has bursitis in L) shoulder so a steroid jab is 3rd July, 2/ CT showed a disc in lower back has some compression of nerves and needs to be seen to asap as it will deteriorate into uselessness so I got an appointment with my super Italian stallion back man in 3 weeks time and the nerve conduction testing man is in a week thanks to a cancellation All good times so IF things work out we might still get away. . Deborah my hair is like yours, grows like weeds but my hands don't have much dexterity for the scissors. Bernie you or your son should of got your son's Dr even in the A&E dept could have got a referral.. Italy sounds nice David and after seeing it during the TDF is it an escorted deal? Spoke to my M8 in NZ last night and would you believe it her bro and bent lawyer have now started proceedings to bankrupt her, she sacked the god botherer of a lawyer and is reporting him to the legal people as he made decisions about her case without informing her so on we go again now into the 7th year. There has been some underhanded hand lings with her case from the lowest lawyer to the highest judges and needs an investigation .TV is useless all day and night all we hear is about the idiot and the war.. Hope you got your eyes sorted and made your way back to Margaret ok. Remember Dee and her demo of her work? well she as well is :D having a to :D ugh time health wise, she was diagnosed with Giant Cell Tumor of her wrist so hers is a touch and go thing, on huge pain meds now until treatment ???? Sept?? Too long await. . Stay safe everyone and goodnight x :D Goodnight R n B x :D

Gee Dot, your Kiwi M8 should be going onto the NZ version of a current affair and outing the bastard totally. I know that you don't get a choice who are in the family, but it sounds like the bro needs to be excommunicated from the family totally. Thinking of MrG, he's had enough health issues too. You pair are as good as us. If you could see the current hair cut...hmmm. Put it like this, it will grow out by next week. Went a bit too close to the head...oops.   xxxx

Today was fang farrier for us both to have check ups and him to have a filling replaced. It seemed to take up most of the day. You know, all the waiting for your turn and then the fiddle farts that go on. Xrays needed for me, but they still show the teeth are the same as 5 years ago. Apparently, that's a good thing.

The weather here is going almost as crappy as yours Dot. We woke to gentle sunshine and it went downhill from there. Tonight it's cold, windy and rainy with frozen air returning with a vengeance. It's meant to continue like this for the rest of the week...bummer.

night all xxx
Deborah
