Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good news to settle your anxiety and frustration
Go the Baileys. Good sleeping tonic.

Dot, that is such great news. Definitely a reason for celebrating, hope you let George have one too. Is he still the perfect patient and showing signs of improving daily? Bloody hot here too. xxxx

Today was biscuit day and his lordship insisted on helping. What normally takes me two days we finished in one, but there seems to be a slight problem with quality control. Not sure where we slipped up, but some of the biscuits are doing a slight exploding thing when you try to pick them up. So the little clusters of yumminess will still have to be delivered as planned, just with the suggestions of putting clumps into a bowl and declaring them to be sweet nibbles. I could remake, but the ingredients are too expensive for that. I am wondering if some of the tins of condensed milk have gotten slightly less product in them. That could explain why some batches were great and others were crumbly. PITA anyway, the job is done.

We have found a slight leak in the van from under the washing machine. It's only a tiny trickle, but not good. His lordship has done a bit of internet researching and says he will have another look tomorrow at some of the fittings. There is no water hose plugged into the van, the tank pump is turned off and it doesn't make sense that there can even be water in that area at the moment. If the van hadn't been parked on such a steep slope, we may not have discovered the problem for a while. We do have a warranty, so will be claiming on it.

Our son is calling in tomorrow in between a couple of jobs in our area, so he will get first look at the problem and give his thoughts. Once he's gone, I will ring the dealership to log the problem and follow it up with an email, just to keep a paper trail running.
As well as son, we have our sparky coming to install the new fan/light and to replace a light fitting downstairs for my piano to have better illumination and lastly we have a quacks appointment at 4. So no rest for the wicked here.

stay sane you lot, night all xxx
Deborah

What a yucky sticky day, did the morning watering and bird baths and that was it for me outside. Tomorrow is going to be even worse 37deg, so they say but I have to go do some shopping as we are now starting to run out of the necessities, milk, bread etc,What did the caravan seller have to say about your "leak" Deborah, and did you take a pic of it? How a pic of the new fan as well. When I bake the same thing mostly it turns out ok but sometimes it's a flop??. George doesn't drink any booze at all so all good for me. I had 4 drinks of Baileys and it saw me out nicely. I had the pleasure of informing "the girls" about the rock spider and they were very pleased indeed, they also said they would be having a couple of bevies to celebrate.I ate the first boysenberry today and it was yummy, won't be too many this year because it is only less than 1 year. Jd where are you now? Heard from an old nursing friend and she told me she was "friend sitting" tomorrow because another nursing friend is suffering from dam dementia and has to have supervision 24/7 How many more that we know are getting this complaint? it is everywhere. Off to bed now, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert not Bob x :D

Gee Dottie, hope the Baileys didn't give you a long sleepy day today. Or did you just keep celebrating? I like that option better xxxx

Shirley, yes we have a piano tuner. He is a gentle giant who towers over me. Dot will tell you , that that feat is not hard to manage. His name is Glen Kuiper, I think he lives near Wyee and loves to be paid in cash Phone is 0425 201 413. The most important thing that you can do with locating a piano in a house in this area is to keep the back of the piano on an inside wall. I still play mine, but lately have been a little bit slack with caravans etc getting more attention.

Happily our son did visit today and he has located the probable cause of our water issue. He found a hose to the washing machine that was very loose and although we thought the pump was off, we had left it on, causing a possible backing up of water pressure. The panel to check on many things, including the pump, is above the fridge, where I cannot reach or see the graphics. Looks like now, when we leave any site, I will have to nag his lordship to check the pump is off and the various things that need checking are all where they should be on the graphs. Our son also showed us that the light above the shower is only accessed by reaching up and touching the actual light. Think I will be showering in darkness then. The vanity light is enough for me to be able to see, so no real drama. All the main lights have dimmer switches and can be turned to blue lights...you guessed it, only accessible by touching the lights. There are main on/off switches and I can handle that, just not change the intensity of the lights.

On my jobs list, I have finished three of the four bedroom curtains and I am very pleased with that. I hope to complete the whole job tomorrow, but that may be weather dependent. Tonight we are having some pretty impressive heavy downpours. Hope they are going to Shirley as well.

Night all xxx

Deborah may I suggest a piece of timber doweling with a chair rubber on it. Give the light a pump and should change. You can then put a loop of ribbon on the other end and hang it some where.

Will now wait for the replies from the boys cheers Robert

Dot, you have me thinking now. I am wondering if we are seeing more people with dementia due to having had a lot more anaesthetics (sp?) in our lifetimes. The other thought is how many chemicals and plastics have we been exposed to that previous generations had not invented? I do feel that in previous generations a lot of this disease was covered up or just brushed aside as being a bit doolally. xxxx

Robert, I like that idea, much better than the growth hormones my parents wanted me to try when I was a late teenager and not growing any taller.

Today was one of storms, tempers and tantrums. The house and car keys were once again lost. We both lost a few hours in our searching and revisiting places around the yard and sheds. They were finally found where they were impersonating a lump of mud or dead leaf clump. They are in a light brown leather pouchy thing and they just blend in with the ground too well. I have just located a couple of small lanyards that may help with the disguise. One is a bright blue and the other is flouro orange, I hope he chooses to attach one of them just for my sanity.

After losing so much time, I was determined to finish the main curtains. Bedroom is finished along with the dining table area and the door curtain has been replaced as well. The two bare windows are the kitchen sink window and the bathroom. Neither of these windows has a curtain (just the horrible blinds). If I get time or inclination, I will probably make curtains for both of those windows too. Amongst other things we had to deal with deluginal rain. As soon as I could rush out to the van, another job was completed and the day just followed the stormy weather.

night all xxx

Beat this, I was up out of bed and into the shower this morning by 0700 had a cuppa in the car and was at the supermarket by 0800hrs, I hate shopping down in town. I couldn't be bothered looking at the prices just got what I wanted and went home, I went early before the heat was bad but it was hot by the time I had finished. Bill was $240.00 and that was without some spuds and onions. The price of fruit was up from a couple of weeks ago. Brian's kangaroo mince is now up to $15 pr kg was $10 . I put extra bird baths out this morning and refilled them twice also put the misting fan on for the galas and they enjoy it. when it gets too hot.I must admit I had to have a lay down this arvo all the activity wore me out. Had trouble finding room in the freezer though, then I did Brian's food up into daily amounts then it was another find room in freezer but I managed. Another 1kg to do tomorrow ?? room? I opened all the windows up as a nice cool breeze has started so that will be nice to sleep with plus we had about a dozen rain drops and no more bugger. Dam council and their stupid crackers going off at 2130hrs. G is doing well but I think it has AA batteries inserted, he is up and walking with the walker seems every 1/2 hr. We had screens made for all around the bus so when G is allowed he will help me put them up, they certainly make a difference. I am off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

The house and car keys were once again lost
I wonder if it is worth looking into one of those Apple AirTag type devices to attach to keyring - not to sure how accurate they are with items relatively close ie 10/15metres
