Good morning everyone. The train trip is lovely Helen. We have just stopped at a whistle-stop called Rawlinna, to have a cup of tea and watch the sun come up. We will get to Cook in Sth Aust today. Safe travels everybody, have a top day.

Me again... daughters surgery cancelled again.... this time she was in the hospital since 7.30, cancelled at 8.30

Daughter is in Canberra hospital again with crippling back pain. Seems they plan to cut yet another piece out of her spine .... they are just waiting for an operating theatre to become available as they work through the back log of cases Covid elective surgery cancellations built up .... 42 yrs old and this is the second major surgery, looks like it might be wheel chair mobility only soon, not sure what will happen then because she only boards with a married couple at their house so I doubt they would go for having their house modified for wheel chair access. The constant pain and other events in her life have left her with chronic depression and anxiety issues, so she can't live alone ......

We have offered in the past for her to live with us, but Mannum is just too far away from her social support network ..... serious decisions time fast approaching it seems ....

That is really sad news Terry. It is terrible that we can’t assist our adult children when something like this happens. We hope she finds a solution.

Should of refused to leave. That is disgusting treatment or lack of it.

The full story isn't known.

My by-pass surgery was cancelled when was just on the ward.
Turned out that the surgeon dropped a power drill and tried to catch it by the bit. He did, though thumb webbing.
