Went on the Wilderness Railway at Queenstown today. Great ride [it's a cog driven Rails and goes up a grade 1>16, thats 1m up in 16m] Three cars long, each car is lined with a different Tas wood [beautiful] the Wilderness one costs more as you get a glass of champers some nibbles and a verandah on the back to take photos from. Left there about 1330 now at Bushy Park free camp again.

Sat. Just got back to Tasman RSL at Nubeena from Port Arthur [convict ruins] good day made better by the driver, of their Golf Cart, who took me all over the place.
Sun. Today a Cruise out and around Tasman Island, Cliffs, Caves, Islands, Seals, Birds even got a cray pot rope around the prop [got it off OK and reset the pot].
Now at Dunally Pub.

Left Dunally and went to Sorell camped last night [$7] and tonight, was going to Triabunna tomorrow but. Went into Hobart today and went on the Iron Pot cruise [exellent]. Took the bus from Glenorchy as parking was easier. Coming back called into a friens house at Moonah [went to cockle creek with them, Bob Voss]. Free dinner and invited down to Southport fishing for the weekend [Wed to Tues, long w/e]. Well one must go mus'ent one.

Peter, I was at Port Arthur back in the early '80s. It was a rather eerie/creepy place then. How have they handled the horrifying massacre than happened there in the early '90s?

Not much talk about it, the old tea room is still there [only the walls and hidden in the bushes] as a memorial for those that died.

So hard to believe it was that long ago since that tragic day. What's the weather like Peter?

The mine disaster at Queenstown was sad. I only did the mine tour three days before.

Re: Pet-els touring
I'm back, been out of range for the last 7 days. Been down at Southport Tas, fishing and having a good time with Bob Voss and family [about 50 of them] only 3 crays a few abs and 1/2 box flathead. Very windy, I went up into the Southern Forests to a coupe [thats a tree felling area] 3 excavators with grabs, 1 with a grab and chain saw attached, 1 with a grab and circular saw attached [can cut three trees at once]. The timber is cut stripped and sorted, Veneer, Chip, Telephone poles. We got a truck [F250] load of fire wood for the camp.
