I looked at those links that T1 posted yesterday and then spent another hour watching others that linked in. There are some seriously fast cars out there now that don't have an internal combustion engine. Pretty soon there won't be anyone but us old farts that remember what a honker V8 sounded like anyway. I wonder when Australia will catch up? In the 90's I was waiting for the 'Propane' class to catch on at the drag strip. But that never happened.
Electric race cars ehh? Beats the s**t out of pedal cars.

Jerry campaigned a Matchless 500 single there twice I think, Bill Horseman rode it and came second the first yr and won the Manx trophy the second time they went there. Bill hung up his racing leathers after that race saying he had fill all the spots on his must win bucket list, the lap record at the old Bathurst track was number one and the Isle of Mann was the last. There is a photo on the wall of the workshop of Bill 10 10ths in a corner but studying the track much further up the road, it is obvious in the photo he wasn't a young fella so even more credit points for still having the nerves of the young and foolish even after so many race crashes throughout his racing career.
