Makes a difference when he lies down as he clicks?
Wouldn't it be easier to just turn the phone Ray? (or camera?)

Hey! How ‘bout that! :D
Used the actual digital camera, not the phone camera...
A bit more fiddling required.
Have to cable-connect camera to pooter to upload pix, then reduce file size to <200mb, as the saving process increases this slightly.
Camera is not equipped with Bluetooth, so wireless transfer is not possible.

Ray, doesn't the camera have an SD card that you can slip into the computer, or doesn't the computer have an SD slot?

Could do that, George, but not sure the pooter would recognise the SD as a camera.
Photos s/w automatically opens when camera is connected.
(I know... I'm "energy-conscious"! :P :D )

Ray, when I insert the SD card into my computer it automatically opens it to give access to the photo files.

No doubt it will open the SD card, I'll give it a try to see if Photos opens automatically, as well.
Hafta remove my 256GB supplementary SD hard drive, first. :) ;)

15 minutes later...

Well, I could open the SD, then the photo file, then the photo. (Possibly I could ignore this step & go straight to Photos.)

Had to manually open Photos s/w, whereupon it recognised the card as 'Ray's Cam', and auto-downloaded the test pic. Still had to reduce the file size for publishing to the forum. (Didn't upload it, in case you're wondering. It was just a test pic.)
Given the fingernail-breaking removal of the SD HD (flush-mounted) from my only SD slot, I reckon it's easier & simpler to leave the SD HD in place & use one of my two (unused) USB slots for the camera's cable.
As hooking up the USB cable and turning on the camera automatically opens Photos, I reckon there's something in the camera's software/hardware which triggers that. Didn't happen putting SD card into pooter directly, even though it recognised it as being named 'Ray's Cam'.
But thanks for taking an interest, George.

Ray

Ray, to remove the SD card from my computer I simply press against it and it pops out.

I have found that it doesn't matter which forum that I attempt to post a pic on, they are all different. The only constant is that I must resize the pic to an accepted size for that forum,1000 pixels seems the norm, for which I always use Irfanview. Each to their own and whatever floats your boat. :D

George,
The SD card pops out of my camera like that, but the SD HD has 'wings' which prevent pushing it in, and my pooter's SD slot doesn't have the same spring action.

SD HD 2.jpg
The SD HD is also half the depth of a standard SD card, which is why it sits flush.
