Re: Good morning daily
Had to resurrect the Kombi yesterday after the Prius fuel leak turned out to be the result of the exhaust being hit too many time clambering out over our bush track. the exhaust pipe has been push back into the plastic fuel tank and has melted a hole in it
The kombi did the track easily, but you do get spoilt with air conditioning, a smooth ride and a quiet even over the rough track .... Kombi has none of those luxuries
A drive to Mt Barker via Murray Bridge this morning to get exhaust pipe wrap and plastic fuel tank repair putty ...... I was thinking about tackling the job now that I'm back at the workshop, but I think that idea might have last momentum when I realise how hot it was when I tried to lay under the Prius to take stock of just what would be required
Gunna load up some solar panels, picked up the air con re-gassing hoses I forgot yesterday, and will have a crack at re-gassing the bedroom air con using a can of that butane used in the little stoves ..... just have to remember how to re-gas air conditioning, it would probably be 30 yrs since I did it last time

I get that with the Torch too.

Morning all.
Up to date with my shots Dave...thanks.
Me and next door have some fence down he's in the process of renewing it.
His cat came for a visit...so I put the fence up as a short term measure. Hence the cuts.
Safer for the cat that way
cat not welcome in my place
I also mowed around the little bits with the push mower, tomorrow I will do both back and front with the ride-on.
Still packing stuff...about to get serious about it...the beer is in and cold
Carol a lot better for the first time in a month she cooked last nights roast.
Keep well.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
After loading the Kombi up with solar panels, the thought of trying to carry them down the track from the upper parking area wasn't terribly appealing ...... so I took the river over road path. Kombi made it easily, water was up to the bumpers front and back in some spots, but no problems.
Unloaded the panels this morning and fully intended to walk down and check the river height ..... but it looked about the same as yesterday so I thought I'd save myself a walk.
Things were going well, until the water and duck weed started to come up around the handbrake and gear lever ...... ummm...... but carried on. The engine seemed to loose some of it's sparkle in the next crossing but it kept going ...... a rather under powered trip up the Sedan Rd and had zero interest in continuing without the foot on the throttle .... maybe running low on gas ...... only took 40 ltrs so that wasn't it, coughed and spluttered into life and made it back up the hill to the workshop ..... so Kombi did its self proud yet again ...... now to get all the water, mud and duck weed out of the engine
