Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Wondered what you went down south for, Bernie. Are you home yet?
We are at the Dalveen rest area til tomorrow then heading further south. It's a bit cool here, but a lovely sunny day.
Beautiful day if you are out of the wind.
Safe travels everybody.

No hump at the front and the overhang is bigger than a RB145, the photo angle make gauging length difficult. So, what model is it? Does look good, what engine and does the rooftop air con still work? I guess we will see inside photos at a later date, enjoy the drive home.

Re: Good morning daily
Back at the workshop after our 4 day get together with the Kombi Club at the Strath caravan park and the overflow parked up around the oval. The Kombi made it there and back, but I wasn't game to try my luck on the cruise and photo shoot down to Milang. It seems the drive through the Mannum flood waters must have resulted in water in the wheel brgs and they progressively became noisier and noisier till 70km/h was about as fast as felt safe on the last leg from Murray Bridge to Mannum.
It was a great long weekend, met up with names I only knew on the KC forum .... and probably can't remember which face matches which name

Re: Good morning daily
I wasn't gunna mention that
I wonder if it's one of the east-west engine buses that had the chain drive to the gearbox? Can't remember the make off hand, about the same time the chain stretched to the point it would jump teeth under high load, the engine would drop its bundle. Because the chain jumped the teeth on the sprockets, the engine was no longer under high load, so the problem didn't show until the big $$ were spent replacing the sprockets, chain and guides. In most cases, the new owner said they wouldn't have spent the money on the chain drive if they'd known the engine was stuffed, but once the $$ were spent then more $$ had to be found for the engine rebuild
