Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Pretty good sewing machine you have there Bernie. Is it a Mitsubishi ? You will have all the nomads calling in for annex repairs.

Margaret has spent most of the morning harvesting our crop of calthrop so we can get the work trailer out to be loaded ready for the NSW trip. I found that weed and feed that comes in a pack designed to connect the hose on works well, but neat in a spray bottle or weed wand. Never seen a weed die as fast as that no matter what sort but the lawn quickly grows up through the dead bit. Might try it on this mongrel stuff using an air hose as a replacement for the water to get it spread quickly, the pump up spray pack still takes a long while to do a big area

This was from the S.A. ABC presentation.
How to kill caltrop

22/12/2009 , 2:56 PM by bronwen wade

I was at a meeting the other day and everyone around the table was whingeing about how much caltrop weed is around at the moment.

The rain in the last month seems to have encouraged it. In fact one person said caltrop was the greenest thing in his garden right now.

Then Jenny Semmler piped up with this remedy which she says will kill your caltrop overnight!

1 cup salt
1 litre white vinegar
a few soap flakes or detergent

Apparently it burns the caltrop to a crisp
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
