Re: Murphy strikes!
haha....... if you watched that youtube video on the Pilliga Yowie you'd get my drift!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXFZ2Yv38nM
The Yowie let him go because ......... (well it was either a male or out of season)
I'd be more inclined to think the Yowie just had a headache that day? !!!
Me? ....... I was more into the Nullubor Nymph .......

You will have to spell it out for me mate don't do yotube.
I used to hunt pigs at the Piliga. Don't remember a 'Yowie' tho early mornings my mate resemble one.
Still does for that matter. I can talk about him caus I'm a year and three months older than him, and he's in NSW.
Fancy having a mate who's on the pension?

Re: Murphy strikes!
Murphy is at it again! Got to Bourke today and went on a couple of the Mud Map drives recommended by the Info Centre. On the return from the Historic Lock and Weir on a particularly bad bit of corrugations, I heard a strange noise. On investigation, the left rear shock absorber has lost the nut attaching it to the bolt in the chassis so a visit to the local mechanic is in order tomorrow. Good thing it didn't happen when we were half way up the Dowling Track which is our intended route from here.

Re: Murphy strikes!
I don't want to put mockers on you, but while the mechanic is fixing the shock absorber, get them to cast a close eye over the shock mount points in the body. A good mate of mine works in the mining industry in far nth Qld in the welding repair area, they are moving away from the V8 Cruiser to Ford Territory due to shock mounts ripping out of the bodies and engine oil use issues. He says that every one of the cruisers up where he is has had the shock mounts ripped out and he has had to rebuild the body around them. I doubt you treat your cruiser as rough as they would treat the company vehicles, but off road tracks are hard on suspension components. Better to have it checked and fixed if needed now, than outback some where miles from help.
