Rumble from The Concrete Jungle

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Love it all - but now tend to follow the driver rather than the so called Holden/Ford.

Back in the days when Holden made their engines in Aust as did Ford, the gearboxes were made in Aust as were the diffs, then it truely was a manufacturer challenge, it's nonsense now. The V8 Touring car mob destroyed a good racing formula for there own selfish reasons, I stopped following nose to tail racing at about that point and drifted further into drag racing where real competition still exists. The top end stuff still suffered the Yankee tradition of pushing out any better technology, but rather than banning turbo charged engines for top fuel, they awarded the big money to the winners with mechanical supercharging
You know the sport has been weakened when you see things like electric push bike off road racing and drift racing growing by leaps and bounds yet the super car series can't always get a full grid, they have taken the racing away from the people they needed to keep it alive and they will suffer the consequences.
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves

Now that last race was a cracker and didn't that Scotty do a great job? even in a volvo  But that shows what good sportsmen some are, Wincup could have rammed Scotty out on that last lap but played nicely. And how was Scotty so excited dropping the F bomb
So Holden Volvo and Holden woo hoo
