Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Good Oh bruce. We had an eventful start to the kindest of weather days but I shall let Chuck tell you about today . Right now we are parked up in a nice firm Gravel pit for the night. Did 172ks today so that's ok.. Nicer lot on the roads today.. Miss meow has mastered the travel art. Wakes us up at day break wanting her breakfast, goes to the loo then back to on the bed (after it has been made of course) then when we stop for morning tea she is off the bed for her leg stretch and a drink then does the rounds for a pat then back to bed till lunch stop and so it goes. George is the same but he also gets up now and again to go get a snack. The countryside is beautiful and green with all thew crops doing nicely with the recent rains. This road gets a bit busy at night but nothing to worry about. Daytime driving is a breeze. Sun is going down now so time to close the curtains to retain as much heat as we can. Night time temps inside the bus are ranging from 7-12degs. Oh this extra fridge freezer has been a godsend Forgot to say that G may get to have a drive somewhere along the Nullarbor but maybe not the same time as Catriana driving their rig G has his L plates all ready to be strategically placed.
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
What a life miss meow is leading, I relate to sun going down & time to close the curtains it then becomes another world,
Do you have any extra heating, apart from George I mean 7deg, is getting a bit cool, we have also stayed over night in the odd Gravel Pitt,
Looking forward to your next post

Hi Glenda, Yes we have a thumping big red genny if it gets too cold.. Quieter than a diesel heater . The bus has a rear engine and at bed time the pj's that are stashed under the pillows are beautiful and warm. I can not believe we have hit the sack at 8pm a couple of nights, must be the relaxed mind. (no comments from the peanut gallery either) My hair is needing a trim but I have resisted the urge so those at 40 mile beach shall have something to attack . Finding lots of Bush roses along the way, mostly at the rest stops though. Gravel pits have good firm bases and not many travellers like them so not too many roses around

"tanks" here---We are all waiting for you to arrive. Don't worry about the hair trim kid, all will be fixed when you get to 40 Mile Beach.
The Caretaker has "earmarked" a nice site for you and Chuck.
The Shire CEO has given approval to hold a "fund raiser activity" at the campsite, and to run raffles at the 40 Mile Beach campground. He has notified the Rangers to this effect , so all is clear there. There are several good quality useful (donated) items in-hand for the raffles prizes, and there are a few collection buckets ready for the donations.
The Caretaker (Leon) has offered to print and distribute flyers to the campers to make them aware of the GREAT SHAVE EVENT as he does his daily rounds of all of the sites; once we have a confirmed date/time.
Perhaps holding the event during the 4:00pm Happy Hour would be the best time, but this is up to you to decide on the time.
We have arranged an MC and Entertainment [Country & Western with a guitar and a good voice] to attract the campers to come along to the GREAT SHAVE.
Bob [of Bob & Bev] is making running repairs to the public address megaphone thing after "Russell" knocked it off the cupboard onto the floor and broke the speaker/mic bit----but it should all be working again soon.
The Remington hair cutter [240 volt] is on stand-by mode, and there are several pair of scissors available for the final trim.
It is getting cool of a night with the temp dropping to around 12c, however, the days are around 26c-28c. and enjoyable.
Nothing much else to report so have a good trip and watch out for the turkeys !
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
Hi Keith... I thought the great shave was going to be at clearview or somewhere?
If you need more stickers then T1 might have more as he has the biggest lot. Dot may bring more once she finds second gear!!!
You need to speak to Russell!!! (nicely!)
