Don't think these are the right ones to go with if you read the PDF file eg If someone hits you and they are not insured this lot will pay you $3k  also the "after market accessories part is somewhat weird as most of these things are bog standard these days :? :? Have a read...

Thank you for considering cover with Progressive.
A Progressive policy provides cover throughout Australia whether being driven or legally towed behind your motorhome.
In the event of claim, you may call 1300 CLAIMS (1300 252 467). We have representatives staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week to allow you the ability to lodge your claim on the weekends, holidays, and outside of business hours, but the claims officer who will be assigned to handle your claim will be available by phone Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm AEDT.
Alternatively, you also have the option to save $25 off your excess by lodging your claim online at http://www.progressiveonline.com.au.
For more information about our claims process including the phone number, please see pages 12-18 of our Product Disclosure Statement.

Regards,
Read the clip you put up Dot.
Of their list of "after-market accessories", the following are STANDARD on Jim the Junior Jeep (the Jimny - which was last in the queue when it came to getting luxury fittings):
- Immobiliser
- Central locking
- Roof rack
- Towbar
- Alloy wheels
- CD player
- Radio (not radio/cassette as listed)
- Speakers ( The radio & CDs would be very quiet without them!!)
- Air conditioning
- Power windows
- Tinted windows

Now, if Progressive want me to pay extra to cover these "after-market accessories" then I don't want to know.
Black mark #1.
They also would not give you a number so you could speak to a human about their policies.
Black mark #2.
And if you phone their 24/7 claims number, it costs $25 more than an on-line claim (which may or may not be available, depending on your location & mobile coverage)!
Black mark #3.
For me, it's 'Three strikes and you're out!'

I'd rather stick with Ken Tame. Although last year (just out of curiosity) I did get a quote for Jim's insurance from APIA - which was dearer.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Certainly check every year. APIA did put up their rates on me this year, so I rang around, got quotes and then let APIA change the price downwards, which they did. Well worth the phone calls. But for the van, CIL, might be dearer, but they do what I want when I need it.

If you want to know the truth about cheap insurance - ask your friendly independent crash repairer. They will tell you how people come undone by cheaper policies with get out clauses.

Ray, did you send them an email with your concerns?

I had a look at their answers section on what is covered and the following is what I found.

If you purchase Comprehensive or Third Party Fire and Theft cover, modifications or accessories installed by the manufacturer or motor vehicle dealership as part of the original sale your vehicle are covered automatically.

All insurance companies have strange clauses, yes even KT, but you generally have to dig a little deeper. It all comes down to being happy with your decision on who you choose, after all its your hard earned cash you're spending.

For me, the fact that they don't cover a windscreen wasn't a problem. So I am happy with the extra cash in my pocket.
