Long distance travel is difficult for me and we are already booked for Nundle, where there is a big Chinese festival over Easter. We will already be in that area for a couple of gem stone festivals, so the distances wont be too difficult (I hope).
So can I take a rain check please?
Deb, I'll add you to the list & if you manage to make it all the better. If not maybe next time.

Recently, we stayed at this free camp location & it's a great spot.

Amenities block with hot showers, at least 2 fresh water taps to top up your tanks... all for a simple donation.

Lake is about 5 klm out of town.

Wotcha think?

"tanks" here Chuck--- Looks better than the 40 Mile Beach area going on the 1st picture. I like the water aspect and the shower/toilet facility. What is the wind like over there ?. Is that a simple donation or an ample donation for the toilets/showers. Do you know what the day-night temps are at that time of year.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Bob, are you a contender or is it a bit too far past Easter for you?

Here's a link to the BOM weather stats for May of this year: http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/20140 ... 1405.shtml
You can see the min/max temps, wind speed/direction, rain, also 9am & 3pm temps for the entire month of May this year.

In a nutshell, for the week we plan to be there, the temps this year were lows of 3.7c - 10.1c & highs of 23.7c to 24.9c.

As far as the donations go - there is a built in letterbox typa thingy on the ablutions block, between the male & female entrances - to drop your donations in... or... we could make a combined donation - from the forum - with a note of thanks for providing such a pleasant area for us.
