I agree with George, our first 4 seasons was over the bed. The missis later told me she thought she was dreaming of swimmimng. Awoke to find her side of the bed was very wet. It gets better, only thing I could find at the local hardware to try to fix the leak was a painters drop sheet and a roll of gaffa tape. Climbed up on the roof, it was still raining and wound the full painters plastic sheet around the vent with lots of tape. That was ok for the next few days of our camp. Only when returning home we started getting flashing lights and horns. Pulle over to find the plastic drop sheet had unwound from the vent and was trailing behind the motor home like something from Pricilla, queen of the desert.

Our present motor home also has a 4 seasons, great vent. Also NOT over the bed. :)

They have been known to be the source of leaks, as I have found.

I have heard some good about the 4 seasons vent but I have to say that the 40 x 40 vent with the Maxxair cover is fantastic. No more worrying about if it rains as the water just doesn't come in. Also if you go out you are not worried about whether you closed the vents or not.

I've found the same with the fantastic vent, the first few drops of rain and the vent shuts and seals, love it.

Just checked on a couple of US sites for the MaxxFans, certainly cheaper than over there but the freight costs bring it up to the Aussie price. Freight is going to kill this country.

Freight is still what's killing that country. Try emailing them about the huge freight price and ask them if they have any better freight companies they can use or you will be forced to buy else where on price, they may get arrogant but they may come to the party. Avoid places like Ship it .... after a very bad experience with that mob I warn everyone, make the seller organise the freight.

All the democratic countries will have to wake up soon in regards to freight costs. (internal and external)
Countries like China where 95% is still owned and run by the Gov can offer free freight on their own trucks, trains, planes and ships.
Ever wondered who pays for the tonnes of goods per day that come from China to be delivered to your door in Australia??
The receiving country is just obligated to deliver it!!

Have you tried US evilbay? here is one you could do a price enquiry http://stores.ebay.com/panther-rvproduc ... 34.c0.m322 i bought my Fantastic vent through a US evilbay seller, the price including freight was less than half what the Aussie sellers wanted and it here in 7 days from the point I made payment, even in the lead up to christmas from this mob http://stores.ebay.com.au/RV-Parts-Acce ... id=4005031

you think that mob are expensive for freight outside the US, check out this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/271130011077?it ... m=&vxp=mtr, I've enquired if it's a mistake and what the real price should be  this is a vent cover for already fitted vents including the fantastic vent so it can stay open more of the time.

G'Day Terry,

Just emailed them asking for a better freight rate. Let you know how it goes.

Tried emailing you a while ago but didn't get a response. Have you changed addresses.
