Don't often see a full 'ranga cat, why Don? Our beast has learnt fairly quickly that the kitchen bench is a no go zone, clawing anything but his scratching post is not on and sleeping in the bedroom when we are trying to sleep there is not going to happen either
The most common name it gets at the moment is NO and he understands that word because it is closely followed by an action that could not be confused with a pat
Tried the cat harness today, wasn't too sure about walking around in an area it didn't know and was doing the belly slide walk back to the door. I picked him up and he was happy to do a guided tour around the place and showed interest in standing on the front lawn. About 2 steps later the spring/leap take off forward was tried with no success. Imediately tried the reverse option and straight out of the harness
A jump over the garden rock wall and I wasn't feeling confident I'd see the cat any time soon, but he waited for me to pick him up and take him back inside. Looks like he will be happy to have the safety of a pane of glass between himself and the outside world ... well for the moment anyway. Now to find an escape proof harness for the "Slipper little sucker" T1 Terry

leave the harness on him for a few days, then attach the lead and let him drag it along behind him. It will take couple of weeks for him to get used to the harness. When he starts the reverse to get out of the harness walk with him then he can't get out of it. Too soon for you to be letting him outside and what a cruel person not letting him sleep on the bed. Thought you were a pussy lover?

Margaret has been researching the "escape proof" proof harnesses rather than this "G" string one he has now. Jake made the escape proof harness a bit of a joke, he just dropped to the ground and crawled out of it, just a high speed crawl
With a front leg missing the bit that goes across the chest simply slipped over the shoulders and he was off

Dot I love Chinese or any other sort of Asian cooking. Always looking for more recipes and ideas. I have some good rabbit recipes so I think I could adapt fairly easily.

The latest project the new house master has us doing is building him a cat tunnel to go from the house to the lean-too against the side of the garage. 15 sheets of 25mm sq weldmesh, 2.5mm wire, 1800 x 1200. 3 folds and each sheet makes a 300mm square cat tunnel 1800mm long. The wire is joined using aviary clips and a strip of out door carpet off cuts or shade cloth on the inside for him to walk on but will drain/dry if it rains.

Project this weekend is a cat elevator ...... no, not with buttons to select the level and auto opening doors, a vertical tower with steps for him to climb from one to the next so we can move from the window sill entry to under the eve height to mount the tunnel, up high enough to be out of the way yet free travel for his lordship to move from apartment to apartment .....
