Get one of those Courier stickers and put it on Girt. Buy a little present and wrap it up and deliver it to Rutherglen. Obviously, don't get a removalist sticker. That might be asking for trouble.

Well, we have our Victorian passports, after much f@rting about online & by phone.
We were out of phone range for a week, which complicated things, but eventually some anonymous public servant saw that an oncology appointment was a reasonable reason for allowing us back into Victoria.
We left Alroy Station Stay on Monday, and after two days of marathon driving we’re now in Gunnedah.
Our passports become valid on Friday, and we have to self-isolate for two weeks, with Covid testing on days 2 & 13.

Looks like we’re back to being six colonies.

What has the weather been like Ray? How's the Girt sale going? Have you noticed more vans on the road? and what about the fuel prices? :D

Weather:
Mostly sunny with occasional showers but no torrential rains like the 24hr storm in Bundaberg.
Girt sale:
Quiet, but a few nibbles which have not yet produced a sale. Had a call from Australian Motorhomes in Newcastle, interested in selling her on consignment. Still considering that one.
Fuel prices:
Ranging from ‘sensible considering the market’ to ‘this bloke should be wearing an eye patch & have one peg leg, and come stumping out to the bowser saying “Aarrrgh, me hearties.” !’ :? We’ve paid between $1.43 ~ $1.65. Rolled straight through one station when we saw $1.70 on the bowser. :x
Other vanners:
Barcaldine looked like a caravan sales yard! Shiny new vans pulled by shiny new 4WDs from a-hole to breakfast hole! We had to park 1km past a bakery & walk back to buy a loaf of bread! On the road there are far more vans & m/hs, (lots of hire vans, too) also mostly shiny off-roaders with tyre black still on the van wheels. No dust in sight. ;) The drivers also seem to have no idea about road etiquette such as pulling over occasionally to allow the traffic behind to pass… some also travel in close convoy, making passing three or four of them in one go quite impossible.

Ray

We recently sold our caravan (via Gumtree) and the first nibbles were from caravan sales yards offering consignment sale - I just do not feel confident with this method of selling. Different price range to Girt, we had some 600 views but only three came out to view in a three week period.

Good luck with your sale

Hi Ray. Where are you now? Are you dodging all the lock downs ? I see Vic. is going into a lock down again tonight. We are keeping our fingers crossed as we hope to do a quick trip over to Tumby Bay for my Mums 102 birthday.
Cheers John

WOW! 102!! :o :D
Wish her a good one from us.
We're home.
Got a Red Zone passport, as I have an Oncologist appointment soon.
Main requirement was that we pass through NSW within a 24 hr period. Allowed to stop for refuelling & rest (but not overnight).
So, according to our permit, we left Cunnamulla yesterday in the wee hours. Arrived home last night at 19:30 after an all-day drive.
Today we start unpacking … and self-isolating for 14 days. :(
Regards & God bless,
Ray
