Recent happenings.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I felt sick watching that video. Just like some of our forum friends, I've been in the house, been in the motorhome. I can only imagine just how gutted both Terry and Margaret feel.
It's hard to imagine the Kombi survived. Small mercies, perhaps. I hope the insurance gets sorted quickly.
Cheers

That's a pretty devastating outcome for all concerned, let's hope you have enough insurance to cover your rebuild and get some of your other assets back Terry. Losing all those memories and equipment isn't easy to handle, but you still have each other and there is a future, hope it becomes better for you and Margaret soon.

I have only just seen this thread. I did know at the time of the fire, and sent Terry and Margaret a text message of support and condolences. A dreadful set of circumstances and something you know happens but pray it doesn’t happen to anyone you know.

Terry, if you are reading this post, we will try to get in touch again.

Hi Val & Chris, we are on the way home from the Illawarra where we purchased yet another motorhome. This one is a Winnebago A Class 2002 based on a Ford chassis and powered by a V10 6.8 ltr petrol/lpg fueled gas guzzler .... that is running on 8 cyls at best, but I think it will get us back to Mannum so we can sort it out from there. Got it at the right price because the engine problem scared most people off, so there was enough money left over to more than cover any repairs etc
We are in Hay at the moment, head off tomorrow for ..... yet to be decided
Expect to be home to Mannum sometime next week, yet to decide if we park up on the concrete slab where the workshop was, or the front yard where the house was .... probably the house block, better view :D
