Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone, its a bright sunny day here at home.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts everyone, we are just getting ready for a walk. Will be the first time in over 15 years we haven't had our little mate with us.
Bernie, I think it's an immobiliser. Don't cut the black wire. :D
Enjoy your last day of clock fiddling time everybody.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers
David

I have no idea Bernie. I tried several Google searces & it seems like some private companies & Gov departments install these "black boxes" that record a lot of info a bit like the aircraft use. Speed, throttle use, GPS co-ordinants, time of travel etc etc. A few even have a SIM in them to enable 'reporting back to base'.
Scott's Transport some years ago used to sneakily install them in trucks that travel times & distance were suspect.
More than one driver was questioned & sacked.
NSW at one stage were considering making them a must in new vehicle sales to help investigate accident causes.
All the wires hanging out of that unit makes you wonder what is being monitored.
Do you know if it was ever a Gov or Local Gov vehicle?

My brother used to work at Holden. They'd often get a lawyer trying to sue them for a faulty car being the cause of and accident. Or, hurt cuased by the air bag deploying incorrectly.

They'd enthusiastically would ask to see the car and get some data. An analysis of the telemetry data quickly put a stop to the case with a little bit of client embarrassment. things like "yes, the air bag probably did bruise your ribs, but it probably saved your life becuase you were doing 100 kph just before hitting the pole. And by the way no brakes were applied."

That's exactly what it is. I knew I'd seen that brand somewhere before.
Like Bruuce said earlier, your ute is probably ex govt of some sort.
They put them on all our council cars years ago.
Speed, location, acceleration and deceleration can all be monitored, like Jon said. And other stuff too.
You probably can cut the black wire Bernie.
Come to think of it, that's probably why your brake lights don't work.
Cheers

Good morning everyone.
Come on you fellas...gov ute... Maxwell smart comes to mind 😜...it has an antenna wire... which is black 🤔.
I'm now a bit worried about old mate who used to own the Ute, when he sees me drive by...and hits the kill switch on his phone...I might have to look under the driver seat... encase it's an ejector seat..😁😁.
I finally found the problem...even tho I removed every fuse and checked them... one was crook...I changed it out for a new one...bombom... brake lights..
Jon you lighting the fire...and we are still turning the aircon on...🙄
And finally... it's bacon and eggs day 🥰🤩😇.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Oops I nearly forgot...I mowed the back lawn.

Good morning All.

Not so good for me at Manchester. I woke late this morning and had difficulty getting out of bed due to serious pain in my neck, back, shoulder and arm. I had to lift my head by hand in order to roll over and off the bed. I am not able to turn my head to any degree either left or right without serious pain.
The strange thing is that I haven't done anything physically to cause the problem. Also, this evening I am experiencing abdominal pain.

I am starting to wonder if the anti-dermatitis injection, Dupixent, which I have been giving myself fortnightly for a couple of month has anything to do with it.

I hope that you all are having better times than me.
