Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

We didn’t bowl, photos on the green at 11am, lunch upstairs in the restaurant, several retired & a few Xmembers attended it was good to catch up with everyone.
Saturday evening is our Presentation night.

Kitchen upgrade looks excellent Bernie, Carol you sure have a handy man  .

Deborah unbelievable the problems with having your van repaired, hope you get satisfaction soon.

Sounds a good idea to travel in the bus to the Blue Mountains Dot, will be nice & warm with your diesel heater & Brian will enjoy being with you.

Good morning everyone.
As in the other thread spent most of the day working on the kitchen... plus some time sorting stuff in the shed, I scored a few of Carol's plastic containers 😁😁.
I was ahead of myself regarding our son, his appointment is today at the Prince Charles hospital...
Nothing much planned for today...I hope 😕
Plus it's bacon and eggs day...yaaa ❤️‍🩹
Where was everyone yesterday??
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. Its another beautiful sunny bacon and egg day here on the GC. I spent half of yesty on the roof of the Winny trying to figure out how much solar of what sized panels I can get up there. There isn't much space for big panels, maybe a few of a smaller size, perhaps. You can't glue anything to the rubber roof, so it's kinda interesting finding something of substance to screw support rails to.
Enjoy your b&e Bernie.
Well be off to watch the young gkid play footy soon. It's down on the Tweed Coast today.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Morning all,

stunning morning today, hopefully stays the same.

Dave, maybe those flexible panels?

Tightened a few bolts and thing's yesterday. The sump gasket was a bit loose all over; either it seated or I just nipped them up. And a radiator hose wasn't fully tight. Hopefully all sorted now.

(thing's I think that's right, the things are belonging to yesterday.)

Good morning All. Beautiful blue sky here but only 9*, brrrr.
I have been chasing up my mechanic for the bus pink slip as rego due in 8 days.
There has not been a lot going on here due to my osteo arthritis and laziness, will have to wake up to myself very soon. My GP gave me a referral to a specialist for old age and to make certain that I will be old, I was given an appointment for June 5, 2026.

Enjoy yourselves today everyone.

Unless you are going to use the mega expensive semi flexible panels, forget about them. The heat causes the glue that holds backing sheet on to melt, working its way between the module tabs and the foil strip grid matrix that links the modules together in series ..... one lost connection and the panel is reduced to half voltage and useless.

Along each side of the roof there is an aluminium square section that makes up the frame of the motorhome. 50mm square section, welded to 3mm thick pieces of aluminium glued and screwed down onto that aluminium frame, that makes the base to weld the rails, add cross sections to a sit the panels on to bolt them down using U shaped pieces of 3mm plate that lip over the edge of the panel and lip under the 50mm square section. A 6mm stainless bolt into a rivnut will hold the panel in place.

Alternatively, lengths of solar panel racking laid wide side down to act as the cross pieces, bolted to the outside 50mm rails, then use solar panel clamps to secure the panels ......

Let me know which way works best, so I can do my roof when we get back to Mannum
