Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Good morning.
We...her.... needed a new awning a bit wider Dot..so the door has more protection from the rain ..
Not much else went on... being at the mercy of a neighbour to give me the extra hands to help with the awning... made us work passed normal knock Off
Terry the awning is the one that you need to put the second of the attachments in with that plastic thingy
That will be today's project..plus do the winding for the tension...I hope.
Where are you off to Bruce..
Keep safe.
Bernie..
Understand no sleep patterns Dot, have that situation at the moment, it's called Jasper. He's a lovely little fellow, or should I say fast growing Bindi annoying rascal and is slowly getting his act together, looks like he may not be a pure bred kelpie as he has such big feet and long legs, when he sits he looks like a kangaroo, talks in his sleep and has a loud piecing bark he uses to harass Bindi when they are playing. Luckily she adores him and they spend lots of time lying close together and my guest wants to take him home with her, but he's a foreigner and would have trouble getting into the USA, because of his colour.

Leave the awning slack, push the awning into the slot to make a pocket while feeding the round plastic retaining length in through the access hole (you end up drilling) in the roller end cap ..... and have a lot of patience ....
I ended up filling the top of that slot with T Rex to stop it pulling the plastic piece, complete with awning material, back out of the slot ..... I am regretting that now because I can't remove the round plastic retainer strip, nor can I belt the awning and plastic strip back into the track either .... it has become a problem for a later date

Having a closer look at the photo, you have the stitched in pocket and plastic round bit in the wrong slot, it should be in the one you are trying to fit the second strip.
The slot you have the awning in now, is there to slide a wall or shade cloth into if you need it, once the awning is out .....

No everything is in the correct slots Terry...it's marked to make sure you don't get it wrong
I have shaped the plastic rope to a bit of a point.. and it's working... but now. I have to wait till herself comes out.. my arms aren't quite long enough..
Bernie.
Make a small hole at the cord/ wall end and thread a length of fishing line through it. Then drag the cord using the fishing line - which is skinny enough to fit through the slot and under the yellow material guide.

With the ratchet towards the rear of the bus, is that end plate marked RIGHT and the other end LEFT? If it is, you have the drum in back to front like I did, these awning are made for the righthand side of the bus, not the lefthand side .....
