& a good morning from him!
We drove into Mackay around 4pm, did a little shopping in the Big Green Shed with about 4 staff & 6 customers. TERRIFIC!
Then onto Woolies in Canelands (icecream & others) with again only a couple of staff & customers!
No ducking & weaving needed.
Mackay put on such a terrific show that ran most of the day. Right alongside the bridge over the Pioneer River on about 20 acres.
About 20 food vans, 20 or so sideshows including dodgem cars & merry go rounds. Live bands ete, etc.
We ate, drank & was Merry & & &....
9PM we watched the first lot of fireworks over/on the River. What a beautiful display!
Then we, along with many thousands escaped back home!!!
Happy New Year!!!
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning All, Happy New Year. 19* and cloudy with some rain showers expected this afternoon.
I couldn't be bothered staying up until the NY fireworks so watched the kids' version at 9 and then watched the end of the BBL cricket before going to bed.
I spent some time checking the MH solar with the empty fridge (other than a glass of water with a thermometer inside) running overnight and, after checking this morning, found it to have reached and maintained 3.5* and It used 9% of the battery.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. It's another bright sunny morning here. Might get to 29⁰ today, with a few showers. A good way to start the new year.
Not much else to report.
Safe travels all those out and about.

Morning all cool morning hope it continues. Watched the BBL and then to bed as normal, now have 12 months with no booze and still no firm answer on the heart. Will see what happens on the 23rd.
Trust everyone has a great New Year and best of health. Cheers Robert

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 20c very bleak, overcast, sun certainly hiding behind all the grey clouds, only 22c predicted & maybe a shower 4mm, wind from the south, our bay is calm.
The lake has been very quite, not the usual jet skis, speedboats towing or folk cruising, only 11 boats stayed overnight along Point Wolstoncroft usually 30+ , maybe economic times & no fireworks set off by neighbours in our bay
Our Daniel 11, arrived at 9am everyone else still in bed, been for a ride on his bike came for breakfast, still here watching telly, love living so close to our family.
never a dull moment we get so much pleasure spending time with our grandchildren.
Bernie, we never miss seeing the new year in, remember when we were young always went to The Entrance, we were always going to burn the old wooden bridge, all the young people would walk towards the bridge calling “ burn the bridge “ never happened, probably would these days
there was a big show in the waterfront park at The Entrance last night.
Already showering rain.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning All.
The bus bedroom window faces down to the town and the fireworks.
Went to bed early, woke up with a big bang.
Watched the fireworks, nudie.
Luckily everyone one was looking the other way.
