Re: Sponsors Needed "Shave For A Cure"
If you do the sums...if 50 of us pay $1, you get $50 but if 20 of us pay $5 you get $100. And our odds are improved and I think Deborah's donation is worth more than 3 for $1. Logic comes from a hotelier I once worked for who pioneered the Liquor Barn concept here in Qlld (we can't buy alcohol in supermarkets). Reduce your profit margin and thereby increase your sales. It worked and he is a millionaire!

Sponsors Needed "Shave For A Cure"
Funny story related to this...yes, I have had a couple of glasses so bear with me.
This was back in 1990 and I was his Administration Manager. We needed to upgrade the cash registers in the three pubs, Rocklea trots and various liquor stores. The registers needed to interface with our software (Erich was our software support person at the time) and we knew that one of the two brands being considered would be a poor choice so I advised him against that brand. Well he knew better and went with it. When it all fell in a heap I got the blame. One day when he was ranting at me I told him to stick his job and walked out. Not the best decision given our circumstances. Amy was only about 8 moths old and Leigh and Tracy still in High School so money was short. Whatever! I would not back down. Finally got a great job a couple of months later (walking out on a job is not a good reference!). It was a difficult time for Erich as he had to "live" with us both. He didn't talk about it and I didn't ask. Ah, those were the days...not!
