Hi, all.

So we went South to Kingaroy to have the John Guest fittings sorted out and met Denis the caravan repair bloke , who's in the Yellow Pages and is most helpful. He even won the Corona Six-pack award. I also found out that John Guest supply a small sleeve in the end of the tubing before inserting it in the valve itself to avoid leaks due to malformation.

Went cheerily down to the Nanango South free camp for the night, and reminded myself later that a torch would have been worthwhile carrying on a dark night when returning from the roadhouse with the ice creams. The rest area is bordered with 35cm thick logs. FYI, incidentally, an ordinary belt makes a superb albeit discreet sling to avoid any adverse pressure on the rotator cuff, if damaged. Sticking plaster did for all the other spots. Yes, and Mrs shonky thought it was great to do all the outside jobs as well as her own for a day or two. No lamingtons for anyone..

Finally arrived at Kinbombi Falls, and found a number of supportive fellow campers who agreed unanimously that alcoholic beverages, taken in quantity, were the best sedative. Good night had by all.
See you on the back roads,
shonky et al.
