Hi all , We are at mates place in Bundalong Vic , helping (sorta) with his bus build .
We have had a "not happy Jan" experience , My daughter rang to say there was mail for us with what feels like credit cards...So II asked her to open them , sure enough there where two new cards...Now before we left we made sure of all stuff that would come in even our debit cards which are to 2020 were sorted. No because the credit union has merged with another company they were issuing new cards , they also gave us till the end of this month to get cards and activate them as that's when the old cards will be deactivated . Bloody lot of time "A" . So daughter has sent them to Yarrawonga PO . I did ring the credit union and had a "discussion" with them to bad if we were overseas but all I got was "tuff titties"
When we can I will terminate our account with them...arsholes .

Hopefully the new cards will be here early next week........

Back to old mate's bus we removed the two windows that were not required and have stripped out vinyl and stuff .
The window were a bugga of a job ...good thing we were here .

The dreaded centre mount engine judging by the access hatch in the walkway. Means no filling in to make the floor level or adding any floor covering that doesn't have that access cut into it. I spent 3 full days dismantling a customers bed/cupboard arrangement to I could get access to the over engine hatch in one of those east-west rear engine buses so I could get to the alternator and diagnose the oil leaks that were causing the alternator problems. Never a good idea to not take engine access into account when doing a fit out.
After working in a few bus yards that had centre mount engines I swore I'd never build a motorhome with one to avoid the smell/mess associated with any engine work going through the house part, bad enough with a front mount.

We back , first up the old aircon wasn't worth fixing was TOO small to start with so didn't bother chasing "fusion" . So we went to Albury yesterday and bought a new inverter aircon , I removed the old one and put the new in its place height was the same length about 3 inches longer and width was about inch and a half wider , so almost fit like a glove . Mate we are staying with till tomorrow called up a friend who does the gas thingy stuff and he came this am and checked it akll out and wired it for me , plus done the evac stuff . He also filled out the install bit for the warranty believe it or not it is covered in a caravan or motorhome for 5 years....I'm happy with that...
Also we are booked on the Spirit of Tasmania on the 18th of March night trip with a cabin cost $1077 with the CMCA discount .
We are moving down to the river about 5Ks from here tomorrow ( don't want to burn out my welcome here) haha They have relies coming for the weekend so we will be out of their way .

What brand/model included the 5 yr warranty for a motorhome or caravan? Certainly worth checking out prices etc if they will include the 5 yr warranty etc. Makes it a no brainer when it comes to which set up to go with, a split system inverter or roof top rattler. Now to get a smaller roof cassette type inside unit that will fit in the old roof top rattler hole, wonder if you can get the 5 yr warranty with the big house size ceiling mount cassette in a motorhome/caravan install?

Brand Rinnai model rinv25RC split system , we bought it from the "good guys" in Albury . On special down from $799 to $699 I gave them $650 .
Cause I'n a tight Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa person .
