The new project list

A lot of us have homes we spend some time in. Discussions can be about any topic that may be of interest that you can think of... renovations, purchases, expenses, etc, etc

Yes Dave that's why I use imperial measurements..
Carol has put a few tiles down where the cupboard was, and will have to do the same where the new stove will be... grouting still to be done...we will buy more tiles today in Maryborough... plus whatever she wants for the bench tops...

After the painters have finished I have planted the idea of turning the kitchen cupboard and their shelves into slide out draws as getting to the back of the cupboards is too hard.Bernie maybe you could do it for me, you seem to be doing a good job under the boss lady. :D

When we had our kitchen redone, we had all the shelves, except under the sinks, turned into drawers.
The corner space, under the bench top, has access doors on the other side under the bench top. This space doesn't get used much as it's a bit out of the way.
No more lost or hidden things lurking in the back in the dark.

Ron,
Even under the sink/s you can have drawers. 😊

Note that across the front there is drawer storage.
This is our solution to the ‘corner cupboard’ problem.
The bell-crank slides the inner basket shelves into the ‘awkward space’ so the baskets with the door (the half-height vertical bar at right is the hinge) can pivot then slide into the space.

Hey Ron how was the trip across ditch?
We will definitely be putting the corner swinger in(I'm a round swinger) We have all draws in the bus.

Terry you just concentrate on getting on the road and stop fussing over my draws. Go on bugger off.

I done a bit more in the kitchen while Carol was out with her mates...
That backing timber is now at bench height and the end has been cut to fit the "new" bench when it finally is put in place... apparently Carol is going to put a strip of narrow timber along the top to stop anything falling off.
More tiles to come out today...and I might get the sink bench top out... maybe....

Yes Dave slowly 😂
We lifted 5 tiles and put 3 down...we are now out of tiles, so into Bundy today... hopefully they will have the colour she wants.
I also have started sanding the first bench we took out I'm about halfway on that one.
More to come.
Bernie.
