The roads from toowoomba are on the whole crap. Some DH drivers from towns closer Maryborough and Hervey Bay really screw up traffic flows which beces really dangerous by going slow.

At least it's warm although humid.

Off to Fraser Island on tour tommorow.

Wanted to get a FDP CB radio as our current one are crap and I found a supplier on Hervey Bay (and Maryborough). When we got to HB I rang them only to be told HB was closed and had to go back to MB. Then was asked why I thought there was a HB branch. The Internet I said they said couldn't be cause they had changed it !!!!!!!
Not going back to MB.

GRRRR

These new 2-way radios are not good in my opinion.
I liked the old CB radios because you could turn up or down the gain.
My radio works very good when the other vehicle is a KM away but the closer they get the less I can hear them. Too much power & it just makes no noise at all. Bloody frustrating when you're trying to talk a truckie past. Obviously they can hear me tell them to come around etc.
Anyone else have that trouble?

Another revolting day at Hervey Bay

The drivers revolted and we stayed an extra day cause we could. It wasn't nice weather but we weren't moving. Aaaaaaaah

Go me some FDP CB radios 5w at a good price.

Made it to Rockhampton, over 1 hour in big road works on top of the 400 Km's from Hervey Bay.

I'm sure it will grand when finished BUT

Saw some grand free camps on the way and were well patronised too.

Note for next trip.. :x

Buggered so off to bed again early.

Russell if you get the chance & your friends are unhooked off their van take a drive up to the top of Mount Archer. Wonderful view right out over the top of Rocky.
Don't take your MH up. It would make it but you may be divorced shortly after!!!
Are you going out to Yappoon?
