You haven't grounded somewhere and flattened a gas line by any chance restricting the flow. Mine are all below floor mounted.

Re: Gas Issue
Or check if you have enough waterflow.
If there's a built-in filter in the hws, check that to make sure it's not (partially) blocked

Re: Gas Issue
"That looks like the old SW10"
I've had a look and its a SW6DEA.
I don't believe it anything to do with water level or electrical as when activating the inside switch the gas flows and ignites when the spark is activated.
Just won 't stay on every time its started.
Maybe its gas pressure as its supposed to be 11" WC (what ever that means) and how do I test that or even adjust the pressure.

Re: Gas Issue
Have you tried it with the door both open and shut?
I have an identical one and it was doing the same thing with the door shut, but OK with it open.
Ended up modifying the flue at the top - cut it back to give more clearance to the door - and it's now working fine.
There is also 2 different doors available for them, old style and a newer one, but it seems it's the new ones that give the problems.
Apparently they were modified for safety concerns??
Cheers,

Re: Gas Issue
Had the same problem.
Turned out to be the newer style door - not enough venting so changed over to the older style with venting all around.
Now no problems.

A bit of reading here...

Will it run OK with the door open?

Re: Gas Issue
I remember reading the manual for these heaters and there was mention of the burner being a balanced flue, (????). It also mentioned not fitting under a slide out where the air flow could be interfered with for what ever reason. Maybe the above from Bruce might help.
