Back to the dentist today for him to reseal the smallest gap around the crown, nice man didn't charge either, see how it goes and told me to use the toothpaste Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste for a while see how it goes. then off to the GP for flu and pneumonia jabs along with request for ultrasound of upper quadrant (R) and heaps and heaps of blood tests. Bloody hell what next? Lets know how your eye test goes Bruce

Dot, with the pro relief. My dentist suggest wiping some on an leaving it there overnight to quieten down a tooth.
Didn't work, because I had an infection and antibiotics fix the dull ache.

Speaking of tests, Dot...
When we returned from our 20 month trip to FNQ at the end of November last, I attended my GP for a script renewal. He complied & also sent me for a scan to find out why my lower back was painful.
Apart from showing that the lower spine was typical for a geriatric with arthritis the result also indicated a slight PSA increase in the area of where the scrotum...?
Nope, the sex drive motor...?
Nope... hang on I'll think of it in a minute...
Ahaa... the bloody prostate! That's the mongrel! It was removed in Jan 09.
So, a slight increase from that area &, strangely enough the bone scan I also had indicated a similar indication in the area of the right hip!!! Now, the initial & logical response was that the cancer had returned & was also showing in the hip as well. The specialist at the Penrith cancer clinic is not so sure & decided to put me on hormone therapy treatment for 6 months... along with some not so nice side effects like lethargy, weight increase around the middle - definitely don't need that one - aching bones, some hair loss, increased effect against heat & cold... think that was it.
So, on Monday I had the appropriate injection just under the skin of the stomach area for placement of the pellet which will, in about 2 weeks, start telling the brain to stop all testosterone... then the fun begins.
Can't honestly say I'm looking forward to the first 3 months followed by a second injection to cover the next 3 month period.
The specialist is confident that at the end of the 6 months the cancer in the area of where the prostate was will be dead & gone & if the similar spot on the hip is also cancer then it will suffer a similar fate. Apparently this type of cancer lives on testosterone so remove that & voila!!
Time will tell, so for the next 6 months at least we will not be doing any traveling - gonna seem a bit strange to suddenly stop after 10 years.
I'll still hang around on here taking in what yooze lot are enjoying whilst mumbling under my breath at yooze luck barstewards.
Enjoy it all whilst you can folks.
