Well hello everyone, no we have not fallen on the face of the earth just been way outback and no phone/internet service, we are now in Ilfracombe for a couple of days, before heading down to Isisford and then making our way across to the Gem Fields at Sapphire, after Gem Tree we made our way up through Tennant Creek where we had a little earth quake that was a bit of fun, we then headed up to Cape Crawford with the plan to head out to King Ash Bay for a spot of fishing for a few days, but the road in was a shocker so we did not chance taking our van in so the BOSS will have to wait to catch himself a Barramundi. After Cape Crawford we made our way down to Camooweal where we had a few days on the Billabong, before moving into the Isa for a couple of days, we needed to catch up with shopping, etc. from there we took the loop down through Boulia and found a great camp spot on the Burke River (only a Billabong now ) the drought is really bad through here, we stayed a week had a great time. It was then onto Winton and now we are in Ilfracombe. The weather has been getting quite hot the last couple of days over 36deg, but the nights are nice and cool... We are travelling well apart from not having internet very much... Will try and upload a couple of photo's tomorrow.
Cheers Ros.

Still sticking to that earthquake story I see? At least you are having a great time and that is the main thing. Watch out for the brolgas in the main street..
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Well we are still on the road, but have our nose pointed for home, not really liking that idea, 4 weeks to go. We have had a wonderful time travelling a lot of the roads less travelled.. We meet up with Dot & George and few other in Nanango and had a wonderful time, we then went to Toowoomba and finally caught up with my brother but was glad to get out of the rat race, we are now in Boomi where we spent one night with Kay and Bruce, lovely to meet them. We leave this place in the morning and heading on another road less travelled... Boomi has a nice little spa so have been having a soak each day.. Hope you are all travelling well and stay safe.
Cheers Ros.

We are still travelling well be it not very far from my last post, we left Boomi after spending 4 great days in the little park and hot pools almost had the place to ourselves. From there we made our way to Mungindi on the NSW/Qld Boarder we had planned to just spend one night, but as the weather was very hot and we had a great site on the river we ended up staying for 4 days THE BOSS had fun emptying the Barwon River of its carp at least it kept him busy. We also had a dip in their little artisan pool. From Mungindi we moved to check out the Nindigully Pub we camped there for 2 days had plenty of shade and good company but my thoughts of the PUB will remain my thoughts...certainly meet some interesting people at these places We are now in St George for 2 days in a caravan park heaps of washing etc. to catch up on and I finally have the internet been without it for ages. Temp today is already 40deg. have our dicky air-con working seems to be helping in the van a little so fingers crossed it keeps up.. From here we head to Lightening Ridge then we will follow the artisan pools all the way home... Not sure we are ready for home yet BUT such is life we have to be there in 3 weeks times.
Cheers Ros & Ivan.

Still heading towards home not many more sleeps now, we had a few days in Lightening Ridge and once again enjoyed our time there, from there we went to Burren Junction was planning on a couple of days in the pools BUT YUK YUK YUK ,pool very slimy bit of whatever floating around, not nice, it was very windy also and no shade so we had our one and only dip, held on for dear life overnight with wind and moved on today to Pilliga still have the wind but the paddock here is a little more friendly at least you have a tree or two, also pool much better, we were here in 2010 and pool was terrible then, but quite good now they clean the pool each Friday own... We will stay a couple of days as the BOSS has pinched a nerve in his back and is in quite a bit of pain so hoping the hot pool will help also a little rest from driving might be good for him.
Cheers Ros
