Any update on that Samsung fridge available?
Happy with the consumption that they quote or are they dreaming?
Looking it up on Samsung site it looks like they don't even make them anymore?

Saw the 228L one in HN recently but yes only the bigger 254L now on the website!
Run mine on a Victron 350VA.
About 70AH a day I'm finding.

Just rang HN and the Samsung rep happened to be there. Says a new model of the 228L is due early next year. Mentioned twin cooling and a price increase.

edit: Rep also said the 254L will get twin cooling. Will improve efficiency even further.

Would you please explain "twin cooling", not a term I am familiar with.

Some time ago I think I read something about it. Seems they are trying to have one compressor/system for the freezer & another separate one for the fridge. I'm not sure though.
I started the recent question on this thread in response to the advert on Ebay.
$498 with 20% off. That's a pretty good pric for a 255l inverter fridge/freezer !!!
$398.40 !!!
Samsung WERE offering a 10yr warranty on their inverter compressor but I can't seem to find that either on the Ebay sale or on Samsung website.
Offer ends on the 19th I believe?
How many do you want for the shop T1??

Separate evaporators for freezer and fridge so cooled separately. Relied on airflow previously. Should be more efficient.

Gotta link maybe Bruce ;) If they are the real deal they would be well worth snapping up at that price. An excellent size for the nearer RV full timer who is into freedom camping. I'll pass it on to someone who left our front yard last week, they have just purchased a Vitrifrigo to replace their 3 way fridge, weren't impressed when I mentioned having to replace Tom & Carmel's (Tomcarm) Vitrifrigo after 13 mths use... just out of warranty naturally, and the Haier 240vac replacement slotted into the same spot, used less power and worked far better than 12v compressor job it replaced.... all for under $600  How many of these inverter fridge/freezers could you buy t that price before you equalled the price of the Vitrifrigo?
The whole RV world has changed, better batteries, better air con and better fridges, what was an accepted practice 5 yrs ago is a silly move in the wrong direction today ;)

And the Haier have reversible doors. Not an inverter fridge though.

I am thinking of fitting a Westinghouse WTB2300WF 230L Fridge and would like to hear comments from anyone about this unit.
