NO Hungi for this Tongueeeeeeeeeee

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hang in there!! :)
The count down is Wed and Thurs so that makes 2 zaps to go :) Yes they have added the 2 zaps I missed out on. See the Oncologist again Thursday for further info and follow ups & the PET scan in a couple of mths to see how and if we have got on and if / what needs to be next on the agenda. At the moment the ulceration down my throat and all over the gums cheeks and yes the newly fashioned armtongue are suffering with those nasty ulcers :( The neck is now a turkey's neck red or better still a Baboons arse red. :) Planning to nick off for a week ? over near Mildura after I see the original surg 9th Aug. We had one of those Holiday auction things to use up so that is the plan but we all know what happens when we plan things. the hardest part has been the daily trip to town, very tiring (and G's driving) ;) Plus trying to swallow stuff. But the end is in sight so watch out you lot at Mannum x

Sounds very similar to Trina's first round of chemo... think they either misjudged her size or weight (wasn't much of either at the time) or gave too strong a dose initially. She was in agony with the mouth/throat ulceration for some time.

She's currently checking her 'records' & will contact you.xx

Left side neck, then front on, then Right side of neck

First was op in Nov 2017

Next is showing some of the redness from radiation
P7240003.jpg
Last one was op in May 2018
P7240005.jpg
All 3 pics showing the redness when it started to appear. Some of the shine is from the cream I have to put on all the time.

That looks a lot like the burning I get when welding if I forget the long sleeves and gloves, probably similar radiation I guess. A bit late now, but I wonder how applying 50 weight sunburn cream would go before the radiation treatment to protect the surface of the skin. It works with the welding burn if I remember to use it

Well that is that lot done and dusted for the time being Last zap was at 2.30pm today :) My mask even came home with me :) Terry the sun screen stuff is a no no there is something in it that reacts to the rays I have been told to use the QV skin wash and skin cream. They don't have any of the things in it that could react. Every chance I get I smother the neck and jawline/ears with the stuff and it looks like it has paid off :) I still go back to see the oncologist and nurse every week for monitoring and drug scripts of course :) I was told that the next 2-3 weeks may even get worse as the radiation still continues to build slightly after the last zap but the travelling will be a great relief not to do every day. David I am a good healer, it's in the great British genes .
