Around Tooleybuc there are a few free camping spots along the river. Roughly half way to Mannum.
I've camped several times in the past just down by the Community Club.
Piangil has a camping spot that BernieQ has used. I think it's donation but Bernie can confirm.
If you're talking about in Mannum .... all spots are now $10 I think.

Piangil was free when we were there about this time last year , I did tell the "host" to put a donation box there we thought it was worth a cuppla bucks to stay the nite .

Lesley you might like to try for somewhere other than Calliope- vans arrived here this afternoon & both sides of river full by1-2pm. get there early. Gin Gin Creek is a nice pot if you have never stayed there & a short trip up to Calliope Safe trip which ever way. Hugs to you both. Bob& Robyn here to-day (Bobr)- another face to a name. A couple from the CF last week.
