Well I heard you had 3 Dr's visits in 3 days Dot so I'm wondering how you are getting on?

Any news for us mere mortals?

Suppose an update is in order now. The last couple of months or so I have been put through the works to try to find out why I have no appetite and can't eat proper food so I was sent to a medical oncologist who sent me for CT of my chest and abdo, No nasties found.

Then it was an MRI of the head, also showed no nasties present so the surgery & radiation did it's job, but it did show there was fluid Lymphoedema in the back of my tongue aka arm

and down the throat so that helps to explain the symptoms. But he wasn't finished with tests, next was an endoscopy and that showed a hiatus hernia down my throat, also took some biopsies just for good measure, saw the oncologist Tuesday and the biopsy results were all clear

. Have also been to the cancer dental clinic to keep a check on my teeth and have my spit tested (They give me some wax to chew to make spit) I have to spit into a little pill jar what ever spit I make in 5 minutes they test for acidity

and the teeth and gums in general. This time the spit amount was lower than last time and more acid. And have been going to the lymphoedema and Laser clinic , have had the massage and milking cups done, then today had the Laser treatment.

lots of blood tests with just a few minor issues. I am still on the special drinks but just want to eat some normal food but just can't face it or swallow it anyway. Have lost just on 20kg but not the best way to do a diet.

So that is about it for now. Bet you are sorry you asked huh?

I have been told to be patient as it is very early days. hmmmm

Great news about your tests Dot. Now to get your eating sorted out so you can regain some of that lost weight and enjoy food again. Best wishes from both of us.
