Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Goodnight to all the night owls.
Please try and stay safe all my forum friends. It is just terrible when you think that the fires have been burning for over 3 months now, and have come all the way down the coast from QLD.
Thank God for the firies.
Cheers

Since we raised the van, I have needed two lots of different height steps added, next to the van. He does all sorts of motor homes, so will hopefully come up with better ideas than we have had.
Deb,

I have seen a handyman solution: a plywood box of two steps, exactly the size of the existing step/s, which - when inverted - fits exactly into the hole where the steps are. Its solid base then becomes part of the floor when you're inside with the door shut, making the step area useful. It had a long rope handle, so it could be lifted in when retiring for the night.

I guess in places where you didn't need two steps you could turn it sideways and use only one step.
Food for thought??

Ray

Busy day today, the blower machine (no not Chuck) did it's job then the pressure cleaner came along and did it's job on the pavers, they get so dirty so quickly and a dirty job as well. Had a visit from Robert not Bob and Molly and gave them a couple of box's of peaches. We had 3.99% drops of rain today  Hope everyone is staying alert if near these fires, Brian was laying down watching a frog, he didn't do anything to it although he did tap it once and when it hopped Brian said OK then left it alone. Speaking of Brian, watched "The Life Of Brian" again, always catch something you missed last time. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Deborah x :D Hope you are breathing better now.

Dot, are you safe from all the winds n fires mate? xxxx

Ray, thanks for your thoughts, that has been suggested. Unfortunately my handyman wanted to make said steps out of checkerboard steel. Can you imagine what that would weigh? So I will keep doing research and asking "experts" , I am sure that we aren't the first people to have short legs and tall vans.

We had a blackout today at the height of the hottest day. A substation blew up in the heat. So I turned off the airconditioner to preserve the solar power in the battery, it was quite unpleasant here this afternoon. After 2 hours and the power was resumed, we finally cooled the house down again.
Feeling exhausted from doing very little today.

Goodnight one and all xxxSafe and sound Deborah x

 :o  :o :?

Even checkerplate aluminium would be too heavy!
The one I saw had 3-ply sides & risers, & 5-ply steps & base. Bloque said Mk1 was all 5-ply and waaay too heavy. So he replaced the sides & risers with the lighter 3-ply.
Makes sense to me...

Dot, that news is so good that it's peachy    xxxx

The sky here is so thick with grey it looks like clouds, but the air is so stinky I think it's just smoke. Hopefully the rain will come to us eventually, but at the moment, the air here is killing me. At least we are alive to have whinge.

sweet dreams you lot xxx

Hi Dot. Cannot think of any peach jokes. Had some rain up here (12 mm) that has freshened the area up a bit and also through out some fertilizer on the lawn that has already made it look greener. Fluffy cat still belts up poor Miss Evie when it gets a chance. Goodnight all. Cheers John
