Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Ain't that the truth.

With apologies to our sub-editor for poor grammar.

But if he get corona virus he will have self isolate, then either little brother or sister will have to fill in for him until he is cleared
The latest talk is these "lock downs" will be in place for 6 mths, will that included FIFO workers? What about the back packers who pick the fruit and trim the grape vines and do all those jobs no one else wants to do?

T1,
Dunno about the FIFOs, but the Govt has extended the visa conditions for backpackers so they can work longer & thus stay longer in Oz.
Would be truly chaotic for rostering if the FIFOs had to quarantine for 14 days every time they took a flight to or from.

That’s the problem Dottie.
The “lazy buggers” who live here wouldn’t work in an iron lung.
And if the government made welfare payments conditional on working as a fruit picker, the bleeding hearts would complain about “slavery conditions” or somesuch.
And the poor darlings would suddenly develop bad backs and switch to sickness benefits.

It is now a legal requirement to inform anyone that visits a site where Cookies are being used that the Cookie is being used.
Without Cookies the forum will not know which thread you have visited, which thread you have posted on plus a lot more.
If you don't accept cookies then a 'temporary cookie is used that just follows your current usage but when you leave the site the memory goes blank.
I suggest you learn more about cookies before you run scared. They are not dangerous. If you are 'into' kiddie porn or are trying to hide the fact you are visiting certain sites then don't accept cookies. Even then the CIA & Fed cops can still see what you are up to!! ...........
Bruce, not worried about the cookies, understand what they do and why on many sites they are needed for proper function. Just the annoying thing popping up at the bottom of the screen about the use of cookies, when I'm logging in and typing that cuts off the bottom of the screen.

Is there a way to get rid of it when you accept what it says, or doesn't it discriminate between users who accept and those who need constant reminding. It's only been happening for a short time.

Dot, with the current travel restrictions, if they aren't already here they won't be coming. Looks like some of us old farts might have to go fruit picking again, just like when we were teenagers.

Just make sure that at least 90% of the fruit makes it to the packing shed... 😜
Or you’ll rapidly find your belt is shrinking! 😁
