Congrats to T1 and Margaret!

Mushy peas or the normal round green buggers, or them whinging whining baby peas?..... now the tricky bit is I don't actually have a stove Dottie, and I cooked for you at your place last time so it's your turn ;)

OK but you have to sign a no suing agreement for food poisoning if I cook. OR you could use my stove. Frozen peas would be alright.

Ah, bullets if under cooked or half way between mushy peas and baby peas if cooked for 30 secs too long  I thought George did all the cooking ;)

I could always try out the induction stoves and see how I go using them to cook a meal.... the pub and the take-away shop isn't too far away if it's not a great success  So dinner tonight is it?

.... but, but I did leave it back in Lake Illawarra, honest.... but for some reason I have 2 big steel trunks full of firewood :? Perhaps that is why the truck went like a dream coming over, it knew I already had the makings of a fire to burn it and claim insurance

Considering it was most likely overloaded, the truck went like a charm, held 3rd gear all the way up the slide, except for the 2 big hairpins and the change back to 1st was more speed related than lack of pulling power, they are incredibly tight bends for a long rigid body vehicle, the bus would have been a real challenge but I expect I would have opted for Mt Ousley instead. The Hume was fine, 2 lanes so the B doubles could pass when they needed to and I actually passed a couple of really big rigs that really struggled on the hills, so I wasn't the slowest vehicle. Once the other side of Wagga it was a different story, without a down hill run 80km/h was about the limit, but once up to 90 km/h it would hold it till something slowed it down again, like dodge the 'roo or the half asleep driver either coming straight at you or weaving all over the road chucking rocks etc.
Driving like a truck driver rather than a tourist certainly makes a big different to the distance you can cover, fuel stops only, no 45 mins lost for a smoke and walk around every 2 hrs. 9:30pm leave Mon night, 5:30am stop half way between Hay and Balranald, just too many 'roo, off again around 9:30am and in the driveway at 4pm, still got the knee, back, neck and headache though, think I'll have to visit Dottie's friend AJ to get it sorted as the pain killers have little effect on it.

Dot talked me into consulting AJ, very impressed with the results so far after 3 visits, still have some pain but movement is definately improved, definitely worth a try Terry, took us about 1 1/2 hours to get to her rooms in Belair from Walker Flat so probably only an hour or so from Mannum.
