Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I love it again Deborah,
. Today we headed off to pay a social distancing visit to Phil and Anne's aka Mottleemob way over town at Smithfield , On the map is around 37ks from Mt Pleasant but because it was through the winding roads it took us an hr, came back a different way and still took an hr but it was nice to catch up with them again. This morning the temp in the bus was 4 deg
Brian was very happy to be snuggled under the doona all night. Going to do the op shop circuit tomorrow lovely little op shops in these small towns and one special shop G loves to get into always comes out with something even shoe last things for Ray
Tonight I sort of managed to get a custard slice down followed by a big drink of water. Very tired now so Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Glad you are back adventuring Dot. Don't buy me anything in those op shops please. I''m running out of storage space and I keep making these bigger things. xxxx
David it's about 8 inches across and 7 inches tall .
Ray, thanks you for the vote of confidence. Yes this one definitely holds water in every tentacle. Currently his nibs has put pens into them, so it has a tidy use on the dining table. I am running out of places to put them, role on markets.
I used up some blue scraps today to fire another sculpture, just not loving the way reds turn brownish. So tomorrow morning will tell if it needs another warm up or not.
Stay warm out there
nighty night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot,
I didn’t realise custard slices (tart?) could be so tiring.
Has G found more shoe lasts for me?
I do collect other cast iron as well...
Keep your eyes peeled.
One day we might be able to pick up stuff from you.
(Postage would be a killer!

Good work Dot, the temptations are hard to overcome, I know. Enjoy your opping anyway xxxx
I opened the kiln to find the blue structure is a goer, so it's up in the lair now. It holds water and has a couple of roses in it already. It's pruning day, so I get the best buds before the rest hit the bin. Some more throwing out of junk was today's job and there is still so much to sort through and throw away as much as I can. Someone else here is a hoarder, so I am sneaking some stuff to the bin.... bet I get caught.
stay warm out there, nighty night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Goodnight Dot. Finished the paving and have some gardening to catch up on and of course painting on the outside. Have had a couple of ripper frosts that have burnt a lot of garden with a few more to come but the days have been lovely and warm. No rain for quite a while. Off to Adelaide again on Monday to see the Docs. to discuss Faye's ray treatment. Fingers crossed.
Cheers John

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Sunshine Dot? Not fair, you are a lot more Southerly than us and we haven't seen the sun all day.
Oh well, enjoy it while you got it xxxx
Another normal day in the lair. Kiln run and back to bed. Etc. When I finally made it back to the shed, I made some very tiny earrings to go with the rainbow pendants that i made yesterday. Really, I am a sucker for punishment. Imagine tiny glass squares (i?2centimetre square) and then adding stripes of colour to make rainbows. I was using stringers of glass that come already made. They are like straws but about the thickness of a couple of hairs. They look interesting and will try to get a pic for you when they have been fired.
I need a warm bed, so off to dreamland xxx
