I'll bet that area flooded a couple of years ago back when Kerang (down south) copped a hiding, being so close to the river and chain of ponds in the area.
Always fascinated seeing speed boats being towed in and around that area before I became aware of the amount of water nearby.

We were there after Easter last year. Very nice spot but the burrs in that big grassed area were lethal!
Now parked at Toompine Pub for the night, heading through Quilpie to Adavale tomorrow after 3 magic nights at Kilcowera Station. Getting used to the red dusty stuff now.

Lived with them for years at my house in South Australia.
I just put up with them till I get back to the fire and pull them out and put them in the fire.
You do need a bit of solid matter in your soles of your feet or you would have to wear shoes

We are back at WB Truck & Trailer Burnie again stayed 9 days 2 years ago, we can't stay that long this time booked on the Spirit next Sunday.
Left hand rear wheel seal leaking, this is the second time its leaked after fitting new seals.
While here having everthing checked, I fitted new tie rod ends this afternoon was lucky they had them on the shelf, also new centre bearings on the tailshaft, replaced one last time, should have done the three.
Excellent customer service, I put on their overalls and looked like one of the workers.

No parcel delivered by 3pm Friday so went to mail delivery centre at South Burnie and tracked down driver.
Left WB Trucks at 5pm Friday and camped at Penguin Surf Club.
