Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, you will manage the physio later. Gives you more time to set up the birds misting and check on your pussy. Stay in the air conditioning as long as you can. Oh slave driver, :D the second set of experiments are going for their first firing tomorrow (if I get out in time to set it firing). xxxx

After the shoulder injection yesterday, I had a really rough night, so not a lot happening here in the lair. The shed has kept me sort of busy with the experimental stuff (more will be revealed later) as well as a fuzed flat bowl that I managed to drop and smash to smithereens yesterday. I spent a lot of time placing tiny shards into a forming shape to make a mosaic piece. That can be fired another day. I just had to get all the bits off my workspace and into a tidy area where they can be safely stored until firing again. As it didn't start out as a great masterpiece, I actually enjoyed turning it into a mosaic, sort of a different challenge and quite relaxing.

goodnight all xxx

Deborah, is there any chance of a surgical repair for your shoulder? I stuffed my left one a few years ago and had it fixed with an operation. None of the injections seemed to help. It took a while to come good but its great now. I think the right one isn't far away from the same thing.
Hope the plates/ bowls turn out OK.
Cheers

Morning all another warm one with 40c expected on Sunday, aircon will be on for a couple of days. Good game of bowls last night but may have to call it quits as the back pain in the end was too much. Trouble walking in the end but will see what next week brings.

Have a great day cheers Robert

RnB, do you bowl with one of those arm extender things?
My FIL used one of them for a few years when his back was on the way out.

Dot, looks like you are getting some of our summer too. Stay cool and enjoy the serenity xxxx

David surgery is the last option, but I have not ruled it out. I am seeing a physio next week to see if some work on the muscles will help to slow down the need for surgery. I have been under the knife far too many times to relax about having any more surgeries. Thanks for the thought.

The current exploration into kiln world is getting exciting, but no more can be shared yet. I woke early this morning and went down to the shed to turn the kiln on. Luckily I had a second look at what was ready to be put in and decided it needed a bit of extra work before firing. I put the smashed up plate/mosaic in for a whorl instead. I tidied up the mornings mistake and completed building a few more of the experiments. The lot of the experiments are now ready to all go into the kiln tomorrow, in one run instead of being segmented into 2 firing sessions. It has worked out quite well and the flattened mosaic plate is looking interesting too.
sweet dreams out there xxx

Made it through the day without having to put the air con on but don't know about tomorrow expected stinker. I went outside but once to hang a t shirt on the line. George was in and out checking on the birds and making sure their misting fan was doing it's job. Hope everyone is keeping cool. Time to say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Toolman x :D
