Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Where are you heading in the bus Dot? Off into the wilds of your area? xxxx

Dot's pussies are all lined up waiting their turn in the kiln.

It has been a busy lair day. We had inherited a couple of antique rocking chairs that are very well loved. His mother had recovered them with orange and browny stripe fabric , back in the 1960's and that is how they looked when we got them in the early 2000's. They fit into our decor, sort of. Anyway roll on to today when one of the chairs is really showing it's age with the seat cushion letting some of the stuffing out through worn patches in the fabric. Not a good look at all. The weirdest thing here is that I was fishing around in my sewing junk last week and found that we had the offcuts of fabric from when his Mum did the original covering. This fabric is right in fashion today. We have so far stripped much of the fabric cover off the seat cushion section and have replaced the seat covering and amazingly, it almost matches the rest of the chair. The job is huge, but I reckon it will be finished tomorrow. We will be using almost every inch of the left over fabric to overhaul the chairs and most of the worn areas will be protected for another thirty years. Never a dull moment in this lair.

sweet dreams out there xxx

Hope to get back to see him in Mt Isa this year
Saw the dental clinic today, she did an Xray to see how the remaining fangs were doing and she was pleased so see again in 3 mths. When going to the city it was raining gently, coming home it was persisting down, got back home and the roads were like little rivers but the fools on the roads didn't slow down for the conditions at all. . Deborah do you want to take the boys and girls to your next market as examples? The wind has sprung up again so nothing as usual on tv so I shall say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Toolman x :D Hope you are not near those fires.

Good thought Dot, easy answer is no. I have enjoyed the challenge of working with your girls and boys, but don't think I want to do a lot of that kind of work. Our mates at Jayco will be enough to keep the project running. I will be showing them pictures of the finished articles soon. Good news from your fang farrier xxxx

The chair reno left us both in a bit of pain today, so we declared it a chair free day. The reno will continue once we can gets some more of those tiny nail things (brads, maybe?) No kiln firing today. I spent a lot of time setting it up to fire up Dot's project. So the next firing (whenever I wake early enough) will be yours Dot. xxxx

Have had more rain today and the ground is loving it. Good news about the WA fires, hope the looney bugs have had their jollies and sleep through summer. What do these fools get out of seeing all the damage and heartbreak from their actions? I think I just might go and have a long soak in the bath so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight John & Shirley x :D

We are at the Boonah SG for the next few days. The rain has just started, only really drizzle, but it will keep the grass green. I was thinking of John and Shirley today as I watched the speedcars doing demo laps today.
Good night everyone.
Cheers

Nothing gives a better night's sleep than rain on the roof. Hope you are getting that restful feeling Dot xxxx

Our rain today has been like someone upstairs is playing with the tap. On and off all day long. It's still nice to be cooler and to watch the grass grow at an amazing rate. Dot's pussies have been fired up and tomorrow I will know what the success rate looks like. Next challenge is a request for some earrings that look like Aboriginal flags. After much research I know the flag is copyrighted to an Aboriginal man, so I can't copy the flag exactly. I have made a few ideas that may work, so next week is looking busy again. I will make a few to add to the stall, after I make some for my friend, and see if there is a market for the styles.

nighty night xxx
