Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

“He was so anally retentive he had two boxes marked ‘Odds’ and ‘Ends’...”

Sounds like he needs a bigger box. Or just mark one box 'Odds' and the other 'box 'Ends'.
Ummm... Jon,

There were two boxes. One labelled ‘Odds’ and the other ‘Ends’.
That’s the joke.

Oh, I get it now.
He didn't have two boxes named Odds and Ends, he had two boxes of odds and ends. Makes sense.

Still think one big box would be easier. Then, he could put a divider in it. Odds one end and Evens the other end. And the lid could be marked Odds and Evens. And even aligned to the odds inside.

Jon,

Umm, no.
There is a two-box limit at the supermarket. :P

If you look closely at the original post on this, there were quotes around the words 'Odds' and 'Ends', indicating that they were separate.
If it had been one box, the text would read 'Odds and Ends'.

Can we put this one to bed now? (Just the one bed! )

Bernie, it means In Your Humble Opinion. But I have just woken up with a thought. Bing, Do you get gout? That would explain the no tomatoes or garlic. My brother gets gout. He can't even drink most beers either. Maybe some of us are lucky that we don't suffer from it. :D
Cheers

No Dave I don't get gout .
Believe it or not there are a lot of people that can't eat garlic...I get stomach pains .
What's on a pizza... tomato sauce...
I also don't eat "normal" bread. I do eat sourdough . I don't eat anything that has wheat in it... not allergic... just don't like the taste. Thanks for explaining the letters

Have you always suffered this food problem, or has it developed over the yrs? It seems Margaret might have started to develop the same problems. Last night she made spaghetti bog and was not well afterwards, but I thought it was great .... it had tomato paste in it that has caused similar issues in the paste upon reflection ........
