
I think I might just pay the money for petrol. The greynomad rule is supposed to be 50kms/day, if you do 100kms you have to stop for 2 days and so one, if we averaged $80 mth for fuel, we averaged around 120km mth

If we averaged the 50kms/day, that comes out to $33.60 day at the last fill up price.
$12,265 a yr in fuel, if we only travelled for the next 2 yrs, $25k in fuel, I could buy 85kw of Tino 250w solar panels for that


24 x 40vdc per panel = 960vdc/2 = 480vdc at 14 amps x 5 peak sun hrs = 33kw/h per day charging, 4 days charging would fill the 120kwh battery and drive EV only about 100km, but hybrid, about 250 km to 300kms on flat road in the country with zero braking required.
From the $25k for petrol only, I would have $23,200 to buy batteries and cabling etc .... I'd need to be looking at more than 2 yrs travelling to break even .... but I'd have a very unique motorhome
