Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Wow who watched the boys on bikes last night? those prangs were not nice at all. Tough as hell those boys are. Brian went to the vet this morning, perfect teeth just had a clean no extractions but as usual his ears were back to square one so more stuff put down the ear canal. He took a bit longer to wake up as when the tube was being taken out, his throat went into a spasm so he was kept in longer just to be sure. Anyway he is home and doing what he does best = sleep
. Off to bed e buys now so Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
More of those spectacular crashes, makes me wonder why anyone would want to be participant in such big events...oh yeah there is a lot of money involved.
Enjoy the lycra watching, Dot xxxx

This is what the latest suncatchers look like. I am quite pleased with them. I decided that they are a pain to travel with, so wont put pics of them on f**kbook. Nighty night all xxx

Very noice, Deb.
I’ll be the bunny and ask the obvious question: how do you interlink the glass bits without them fusing together in the kiln?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, I was going to ask the same question as Ray, but didn't want to be the bunny. Thanks Ray.
One day, hopefully you may be at the same market/festival that we are wandering about in. Would love to check out some of your works first hand.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well I have done it again, t day ban from FB because they said I was inciting violence
I responded to a post where a dog had been bashed and beaten every day of his 2 yrs of life whilst chained to a huge chain. I wrote " The person that did that cruelty to a defenseless dog needs to be caught and to be flogged" Oh well
Got results of last blood test and woo hoo my blood count is up from the iron infusion but have another next week to make sure it is staying good. Boys on bikes doing their individual time trials and tennis is on as well. Brian is still a bit snoozey but why not it is much nicer inside. Might get some rain in the next few days but hoping the strong winds stay away. Signing off now so Goodnight everyone x

Dot, keep those metals flowing through your blood mate, results sound promising xxxx
Just for Ray and David THis is on the kiln shelf with the one on left fully constructed and the one on the right waiting for the final pieces to be put on top of the kiln firing paper that keeps them all separate. The special paper stays put during firing and sort of turns to a dust, but keeps the parts separated all through the firing. In the kiln waiting to be fired
Lifting up after firing. Yes it's a puzzling process, but very rewarding. Not much profit in them either, so only do them for local friends.
Shirley, No to scarf stuff. I don't do sales in winter, so nobody wears scarves when I am selling. I do a very cheap (and almost nasty) line in rings, mainly for the teenagers.
Now, to today's drama. Shirley would have seen it on the local news.
We had polair helo circling our house, late morning. It was so close, we expected it was looking for a landing spot. But then all hell broke out a few doors up. Coppers were chasing a druggy, he went right through a neighbouring house and landed himself in the lake. He was in the deepish water for quite a while and finally the cops convinced him to leave the water, arrested him and took him away. In the meantime we had quite a few cops running along the waterfront towards the event. A young cop was watching the water intently and finally dived in and collected several parcels that had started to float. Who said our lives were quiet? Another druggy in the lock up tonight.
Hoping to have a visit from the kiln man soon. He isn't in lockdown like us, but I don't know if he can come to us or not. I took a long time with the stronger vacuum from upstairs and thoroughly cleaned my shed. The job, had been thought about for this week, but the impending visit was enough to push me to action. Nice to have a spotless work space again.
Time for a nap,
nighty night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Wow Deborah you have taken the excitement level to the next limit, scary stuff hey? Nothing exciting happened today apart from the vet ringing up to see how Brian was. So it has been a very boring day and looking forward to the boys on bikes and maybe tennis as long as the female grunters aren't playing.
Keep up kilning Deborah so goodnight everyone x
