Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, I reckon Fat Pizza is today's version of Kingswood Country, only in reverse. Good to have a belly laugh at it too xxxx

Ray and David, yes when I stuff up, I do it big time and hammer therapy is much more therapeutic than just muttering words.

Kiln stuff from last night is a couple of very nice plates, so that felt better. Tonight I have another pot melt going through the heat. Just to prove to myself that this kiln can do it properly. I have used scrap glass from my usual supply and made a mat with bigger holes than the steamer pot, for the glass to slither through, once it is molten. My usual glass only needs to get to 750C to be totally molten, so just doing that is a better feeling. Tomorrow or the next day , will know if it worked or other wise.

sweet dreams

Tanks did you have any problems with your travels in the new car ? meaning all the knobs and knockers so to speak? We are still finding out what things are and what they do in the Rio so take your time and read the book when you get inspired. We went to town today to our physio which is always a fun day. Loads of bus and house washing all done and back in place just need to give the bus a good clean throughout. Deborah when you have another glass stuff up keep it for some weird glass art. Bet you would sell it quickly. Will people please have the jab, this is getting way out of hand with those tin hatters preaching crap putting normal people at risk. Like the 2 retarded women that flew from NSW to Vic both covid positive jail the @#$#@ plus give them the jab if they want it or not. Then the Olympians returning to SA and they have 2 more weeks of isolation why not? they have been out of the country where Covid is rife a plane trip then into NSW and they expect to hop on a plane to SA and just do what they want NO NO NO good for the goose good for the gander. Home iso is a chance but hell will break out IF any of them get the bug. End of rant. Wonder how HTFFBO will get on trying to get back to SA in a couple of weeks ?? Travel safe and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x :D

Dot., you beat me! This particular stuff up was totally disgusting and not sellable. My name only goes on presentable stuff. Interesting thought tho. What would anyone do with a thousand pieces of broken glass?   xxxx

Today in the kiln, was an interesting mess (like what I expected) but some of the glass on the top holey shelf, had managed to stick itself to the shelf and not drop through to the underneath tray that is meant to collect it. Easy fix. I pulled the top bits off, had a little hammer therapy, and put them back to fire tonight and hopefully all will be well.

The weather today was wasted on a lock down, twas beautiful, 2 days in a row, very noice.

Much of today I spent indoors dealing with phone calls from locals. A lovely friend, who started our town Progress, passed away on Monday. most of the calls were to make sure that I knew and to ask what they could do for the family. With lockdown, funerals have to be very small, but her husband came and asked us to attend. Tomorrow we will be there for her, wish it didn't have to be this way. The whole town wants to be there, so it had to be marked very private on the notices.

stay sane out there, if you are on the road don't stop anywhere that might be dangerous.
night all xxx

Good night all from Innisfail FNQ, Solid rain for three days.
Had a sparky finish installing the new inverter [auto elect did his part on Tuesday.]
All seems OK but will test it out over the weekend. Unfortuneatly another planned four day party was cancelled due to Covid.
Good news is my Great niece who had been in total lock down at home for 14 days after treating a patient with positive Covid for 30 minutes. lucky she has had two jabs of pfizer and wore PPE.
I have yet to ask if she got paid for the time off.

Got onto the ambulance about the bill, they said it didn't matter who ordered / called the ambulance you pay. I am going to ring the car insurance people and ask who pays if in accident, George didn;t get any bills from his accident, he was taken to local hosp by ambulance to the footy ground then had the air ambo to the city and no bills?? Tomorrow we are into the bus for her post few days away ready for the next away time to ????? Yesterday I was having a chat to the galahs and noticed Norman was not to be seen until I went in the aviary and there he was, waddling towards me from the corner where the straw is and there they were, 3 eggs so they waited until we had left for our days away and boom they were at it. Another failed effort for the randy Norman.  Off for a hot shower so safe travels and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Toolman x :D

Dunno what's happening to me… it's an hour until midnight strikes, and I'm ready for bed!
Must be the new hound… we spend our lunchtimes throwing her ball about and watching her go bananas doing zoomies around the yard. :D
That's the only break from working to regain control of the garden. (Sound bite here from "Nine to Five" :P )
Nine weeks away and rain preventing our garden helper man doing anything but clearing the gutters   didn't help things.
Best laid plans… an' all that.

So g'nite all, I'm of for some ZZzzzzzzz.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Your Norman sounds like one crazy bird there Dot. Have a good relax in the bus xxxx

Poor Ray, little doggy keeping you moving? That's good isn't it?

We went to my mates funeral today, which her husband had made a point of asking us to attend. Sadly, they had to limit it to 10 people in the chapel, and that meant close family only. I had half expected that to happen, but it wasn't a nice situation to be in. Anyway we wandered around the gardens and said a little prayer etc, gave the family a non-hug and left. As we were close to really good plant nursery, I went in (only one person from family in any shop) and tried to find some red camellias. Someone had accidentally poisoned a couple of them and I don't like looking at bare spots. They only had pink or white bushes. So I took a couple of white ones and will keep an eye out for a red one.
In the meantime, our town heard about the funeral and they have decided to do their own style memorial. Tomorrow we are all going to head out onto various jetties and the main waterfront park and at 2 pm everyone will drop some flowers in the lake . I really think that is a lovely tribute to a lady who has given a lot for this community. Obviously, we will drop some flowers in the drink tomorrow afternoon.

Did not do any kiln stuff, just not in the right mood.

nighty night xxx

I’m ready for bed tonight. Spent the day playing in the Wide Bay Region ricochet croquet competition in Hervey Bay and - ta-da, we won. We all played 3x2.5 hour games and won 7 of 9 games. Stuffed is an understatement!
