Yes Tanks, watching a kiln cycle through is riveting stuff.Amazing how fast the boredom sinks in.

David, here is his lordships fix. I called in his help when I couldn't get the plastic sleeve off the power plug. He took one look at my stacks of kiln furniture that kept the plug in place and built me a wooden contraption.

To save anyone looking at that and going WT? The yellow lead is from the thermocouple, the top lead goes to the controller and the orange lead is the dodgy power lead, that seems to wriggle out of the socket when under stress. So far so good.

In the kiln is a piece of art that depends on a couple of things being in the right place. Of course, somehow those bits slipped in the heat and now the piece is back in with more pieces added to try to get the right look. Tomorrow will tell.
I didn't stay doing kiln constant watch. I went upstairs and cooked some roast chooken and veggies, with all the trimmings. Better than watching paint dry.

Geeze, I had written a few sentences and I looked up at the TV went to finish typing and poof! it had gone ?? So try again, Happy today my Bombers have made it to the AFL finals woop woop. Have had Thunder wind and rain so that saves watering the garden. Thanks for your cookery lesson Deborah I will take you up on that when / if we ever catch up but I am not going to try anything new. I missed last night due to me going to sleep in my chair and I am starting to feel sleepy so I will say goodnight everyone x Goodnight Deborah x

Jon, you are a cheeky chimp. Good eyesight too. The stubbies are there waiting for me to find time to try melting them down to make some spoon rests or cheese boards. I just have too many other sparkly things in the pipeline to bother with such utilitarian stuff yet.

The work in progress, still needed some more colour, so it's having another warm up tonight too. Patience is really needed in this art.
If we had to be locked anywhere, we really are in paradise, it's just wearing a bit thin at the moment.

I had another weekend selling event cancelled. This one in Port Macquarie in October. Feels like the business is having a re-run of last year. Not so good for all the stuff that I am creating and having to store. The stall in Port is usually a good place to sell my larger pieces. Oh well, we are here and still healthy.
